Could it be possible that you could fix the save state problem in paper mario? How when your in battle or in certain spots when you load a save state mupen will freeze.

Here is the newest WIP. Was able to get the time down to 1'59''82. This is my best run I've had so far. Comments on it please. Movie file-->http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/966378505/F-zero%20TAS.smv

So just to play games normally this version is better, I may have to look into getting this one. Most of the time I use rerecording though so this might not be the vesion for me yet.

Well I was able to get up to the speed of 433 km/hr in the first corner, which isn't too bad. The speed in the world record is 439 km/hr in the first corner. This was played in practice with the gray fox though. I did a bit of a test and confirmed that the gray fox will give a greater bump, so I can only get this fast using the blue falcon like I have to. I've finished the first lap of Mute City 1 and achieved my highest first lap time of 26''10, were the world records is 25''42. I don't believe that I can make the first lap any faster so I'll go on from here.

Track is over this thrusday, so next will at least an hour a day will go into this. As for right now I've been restarting a bit. I've been able to get my first lap time down to 26''32. I'd like to get it lower though. I think I'm not getting as much speed from the bumps at the start as world records somehow. In the first turn of Mute City 1 I'm at 423 km/hr, were the world record holder is at 439 km/hr. I just can't seem to get any faster than 423. Any ideas (Also, the world record is made using practice not grand prix).

Is this version better than Mupen 0.5 V2 from the thread here? Does this version of Mupen have recording yet?

On my computer all codes except ffdshow have given me an error message. You may want to try that one out.

I've heard people saying that you can have a computer run through a game and find the fastest route. Is there a program that you can download that will do this? I would really like to see what the fastest route is for some F-Zero tracks, so this would help out.

I looked into folding@home and I'm wondering why you would want this program to run (its just protien folding, I see nothing helpful in it)?

I wouldn't use a desktop recorder to make an avi. The quality is much too bad.

Would anyone be interested in TASing this game? This game is pretty fun really and with TAS you could kill at this game. I'm working on F-Zero now so I wont be working on this. This is just an idea, no one needs to make a TAS for this game.

After I finish my F-Zero run I may look into this game. I'm doing a playthrough of gold right now. I'm not promising anything but this would be a cool game to TAS.

I've never even heard of this game or seem gameplay until now, so I have no real input on the game. The WIP looked pretty cool though so I'd say go for it.

Thats really funny and true at the same time. Except for the FPS jumping puzzles. Jumping puzzles just don't work in general, not just for FPS.

I posted the raw image that I used for the background-->http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z272/dartht33bagger/Cool.jpg Anyways, the picture is suppose to be really dark like that. I used the gloomy effect to make dark like that. As for the screenshot I used halo 3 and the new map pack. I used the map ghosttown and the gloomy effect, then took a screenshot. Then I put it in my file share and then downloaded the image off of bungie.net. Then I just set the image as background.

Please don't discouarge, I still don't really know C very well and I've managed to do a lot for this project.
Discourage? My dear friend, I'm only being realistic. I'm just saying, if he's learning C for this project only, he's is probably going to end up wasting his time.
I'm not learning it for this project, I'm learning it to help out with all programs. I've been wanting to learn C for a long time and I finally got around it. Also I know a fair amount of visual basic 2005 programming so I'm not completly new to coding.
