The poor quality of the video leads me to ask, did he actually swallow the microphone? Here's something stupid more than funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLiwHaspMe8&NR

AWESOME VICTORY! I loved how you replicated Spinal's Ultra using regular attacks.

This idea is a good one.

You need to set the diagonals as well, if you're using the directional pad. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/erokky/snespad.jpg The highlighted part there. As for snes9x setting left to your X key (I'm using that as an example), I experience that as well. Just assign the keys one by one. As in, do up, OK, do left, OK, do down, OK and etcetera. It's obviously slower, but that's one way of getting around that bug.

In my revised run, I plan to get an extra 5 in the darkened room after the bow in the Eastern Palace, and I will kill a mini-moldorm in the Tower of Hera, in the same room as the Moon Pearl treasure. That room requires you to pick up a pot and so use this pot to kill a moldorm (rupee prize pack) (throw the pot from the right so the force brings the monster back to where you'll walk. This current plan is subject to change any time I notice a quicker alternative. But as far as I see it, this is the absolute quickest for rupee collection in the Light World.

dezbeast, my biggest concern right now is the rupee route. Where do you plan to get your 110 before the Palace of Darkness?

Cool. I guess I did not test this precisely enough. It's back to the beginning for me then I guess. Do you have this trick incorporated into your new run?

Can I please see a demo? Also, if I can save 10+ frames from one of those doorways, I will definitely restart my run.

Oh shit, that was beautiful. That was some high velocity ass kicking, my friend. Hey Dark Fulgore, have you seen Fultz KI video? It has some very impressive combos and bugs which might make your run more enjoyable. It's a pity we will only see combos from Spinal. How about making a "compilation" of clips of tool-assisted combos? The idea is very far-fetched (since it won't have anything to do with tasvideos) but good nonetheless.

Negative. It takes you 6 pixels in a single frame. You can do it up to a maximum of 2 times through each doorway. For 4 frames, you're going the equivalent of a dash. In some cases, you're dashing through a doorway so only a few doors will this be useful for (so far) and you'll save a maximum of 4 frames per doorway. Also keep in mind that this only works in doorways where you're traveling upward.

dezbeast, I found out that you could lodge into a wall directly after your telling me of the doorway wobbling trick. I didn't find it important enough to take notes of it. But now, I have discovered this new trick, coincidently, I discovered it right before reading your PM. I was seeing if I could do a similar thing to the Rockman zipping bug, but unfortunately I couldn't. Here it is: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2539/teleport.smv Is that what you were describing to me in the PM?

I too appreciate your snes9x memory watcher. It will be mighty useful if I ever do FF3/6 again. This run is so enjoying to watch. It's like watching Tiger Woods play. I love it.

You cannot permanently miss anything in ALttP. Once you pay the man 80 rupees, your Y button will function as a spade. The heart appears randomly. So just keep digigng until it pops up.

I'll quit while I'm ahead. This game is incredibly difficult. Good on you spezzafer for doing what you already have done to this game. Good luck comicalflop.

I've read through spezzafer's yi_tips.txt and have studied his input from earlier levels, and I have much doubts that I can do spezzafer's run justice. I won't know unless I try, and I'm about to attempt the next stage where spezzafer left off. I request that spezzafer share his opinion on my finished 4-3.

I think working on one at a time is the best. It keeps you focused with it more and you won't get confused or mixed up with the other runs. If you should do multiple runs, do them one after another. Also, can I be clear that I havn't entirely agreed on anything yet, since I'll be much more dedicated to ALttP than YI. We'll see how things turn out.
