well magneto is probably the best combo character of all time see if you can do something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV9HoKlNYeE#t=0m38s in terms of ground combos, all he has is suki canceled hk and d+lp, d+lk link

It's not necessarily the wrong rom, psx roms are often compressed and they work fine that way in an emulator. I don't see anything wrong in the screen shots. Have tried running it as an administrator?

it hit, but it didn't combo, meaning hulk had recovered and could have blocked if he felt like it.

pretty cool that the first combo was one short of 99 hits, probably don't want to many repetitive combos like that but I think starting off with it works. I like the idea of the second round, you just showed what you can do if if you go for number of hits and now you go for damage, I think the actual combo feels like more of the same. A think different type of combo like this, rather then just an extended air combo would serve you better I think http://www.filefront.com/17261764/mshu.fbm

the damage thing feels wrong to me, but there are no rules or anything against it, and so if you feel it makes a better run I won't stop you. You really can't go wrong with finding the coolest combo you can and trying to copy it. Even if you don't use it, it would give you some insight on the game engine.

changing the damage level feels like cheating to me. you can skip the red text at the start by pressing a button. alright where do I start. comboing throws http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X37ZW_pNoKE#t=0m24s in this game cota and xvsf you can combo into a throw if you connect the throw the frame before the opponent recovers, you can combo into a ground throw by hitting the opponent in the air at a specific height so that there last frame of stun happens at the same time they hit the ground. In this game and cota, xvsf, and mshvsf acceleration from dashing happens on the first frame of the dash and the momentum is carried throughout the move. So for example Cap can link a ton of standing jabs together by dashing for a frame between each one. Other characters can do some really impressive ground combos with it. suki cancel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg6i-JZvKrI works in all marvel games. You can cancel any normal attack with a super jump on hit. You can cancel a super jump with a block. If you have something to block on screen you can cancel the recovery of a move. For example if jump over a fireball you hit with caps hk, super jump, block the projectile, another hk. Probably hard to set up vs a cpu, but easy enough to set up if you do 2 player. Y boost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHSAv4QdM84 works in all marvel games. Probably won't get much use out of it unless you have a character with an air dash hopefully that helps, I don't think your video would get accepted the way it is now

I'm trying to TAS Marvel Super Heroes, but for some reason, when i re-play the movie, it desyncs because it doesn't go to the in-game configuration menu. How can i fix this?
wait a frame or two before you go to the config menu. I would recommend using dammits macrolua script and adding a frame of wait until you get it to work, that way you can safely find the first possible frame. For some reason savestates mess up during the start up sequence so you can't find the first possible frame for the config menu with frameadvance http://code.google.com/p/macrolua/ a lot of weirdness like suki canceling and y boost that where found in mvc2 also work in msh, ask me if you see anything in a combo video you don't understand

the purpose of the week box in sf2 is that some moves take double damage if you hit them out of it Blanka Ball, Balrog’s Turn Around Punch, Vega’s Claw Dive, Sagat’s Tiger Uppercut, and Bison’s Psycho Crusher It's only in WW so Blanka is the only normally controllable character who was supposed to take double damage a frame of ryu's dizzy has it on accident

I'm not really sure what the goals should be, I just figured quickest, because it's easy to define. What do you think about having one person do all of a world, picking a goal and sticking too it for that world, and writing a description expiating the goal. That way we may have one world played for speed, a low par word, a glitch world, a beat everything with just an airvent, etc..

I ether didn't know or forgot about that. Looks like you can use it to push max down through a door too, like in 2-4. Looks like 1-6 is the only one so far it would save time on.

what spring glitch? are you talking about using a spring and a box to clip through a door? I don't think that would actually be quicker because summoning an object is pretty slow

ah sorry, I didn't realizes you where working on it. I'm done for now, so you can have lv2. Where any of your solutions for P1-7-9 faster? We may be able to hex levels in if we need to, because there doesn't seem to be any randomness. didn't know about oob? Most vehicles have some clipping problems, ufo, sub and the tank are some of the more useful ones. I used Hydro in A1-2 because it doesn't need much room so I wouldn't have to move the rock very much. here is an old video I made showing some different ways to get out side the map http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V30ekHpQxI4 Also Making them fall through the floor is a very fun way to kill people it would be useful if we had a leave the map sideways rather then just up or down, you can always turn the vehicle tho if you have trouble with any of the levels You can beat A2-1,2,4,5 very quickly with a hydro or other oob A2-3,7 very quickly with nothing A2-6 with an engineer

I'll do an encode later http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/866015232/Scribblenauts%20tas%20part%206.dsm

ssf2 is a very different game then sf2ce, but having a run for the snes port is kind of silly now that we have arcade emulation
