RuneScape. Oh wait, "tools" already exist for that game. They're called bots. But you'll get banned for using one.

A lot of people don't realize this, but the concept of tool-assisted speedrunning had actually started from the Doom community. However, the TAS'ing capabilities for that game are relatively primitive. While console emulators have all those fancy features, the TAS-enabled Doom ports (e.g., TasDoom, MBF and PrBoom) offer only basic ones, such as save states, rerecording and slowdown. I'd love to see more TAS features added to thouse source ports.

According to the tricks guide, the variable for the p-meter is stored at 0x7E13E4. However, 0x7E134 does not appear in the list of memory addresses. I'm using Snes9x 1.51, by the way. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Yeah, I'm thinking about doing a run for Magic Jewelry, a Taiwanese Tetris-style game. I don't know if the game has an end, though, so I'm planning to aim for maximum score.

Hey, my name is Danny. I have seen a lot of TASes lately and am considering making one myself some day. I've finally decided to register here after lurking for some time! Although I am pretty busy in real life at the moment (graduate school, blah), I'm nevertheless thinking of TAS'ing a few short/simple games in the near future. Anyways, this site seems really cool! :)
