I noticed the metadata in the .fcm file had been cut for reducing the file size. That's my experience, FCE Ultra has desyn problem related with the metadata. So do not cut or modify them maybe a good idea. Since the file has already been re-sized, if the desyn happened at the same critical frames, you can do a emu savestate before it and then load the savestate to continue the run. Hope that can do a little help. Edit I suggest everone dont modify or cut the metadata.

FODA, you're right but you also right. After testing last night, I can got ~4fr. But unfortunately, I still got trouble around 27470 fr. (the enemy - FireSpitting robot). 4fr. can't change his attacking way. :( I tried the randomness to see if I could change his mind before. But it seemed that I need a little wide frames to take over. So the result is no difference. You're always right, FODA. Since I get some frames, I should take use of it doing some style. So I remake it ! The link is the same. Hope this one will be better. ^_^

FODA Oh my goodness. About the lv4-3 you could be right ! I'll try it another way see if it's better. Your replay is so fast that I can't edit my post ahead. And your 2p play is hard to me. ^_^

BATMAN - the last update. * aim for lag-reduced Thanks to Bag of Magic and FODA Sometimes I felt I was alone doing this run. But when I saw your reply, then I was wrong. Thanks to our trinity - Bisqwit He had wrote "If it improves, it is very much worth it". I thought he tried to encourage me, so I went for it. Or maybe I was coaxed ? Just kidding. :) Thanks to mikwuyma, Truncated, TheAxeMan, Fihlvein, feitclub, braceyj and others I forgot to mention. I have tried my best as possible as I can but no significant improvement. I'm sorry for misundertanding. I just compared all your runs with others. Now you are trying harder to perfect it. May I know what things you will improve and something new you aim for ? As fast as possible may be not suitable for this game but I sincerely hope you can do something interesting and stylish. Hi! braceyj, glad to see you. You had done a lot of runs in the recent days and really brought my attention. To be honest, I neither played them at all nor voted your runs. But this time, I did not know why I watched this run. I could feel that you really enjoyed playing the game. I will vote meh according to my feeling. Cause I have a small request about the game(maybe the games you'll plan to do) - You can do something impressively or quickly. Take 'Gradius' as a example for this game. In Gradius, you can dodge the enemies' attack easily. However if you try to make yourself in the dangerous situation, will it let you have more fun doing this way than ordinary maneuver ? And see the Kyrsimys' thread, he had spoken more and more clearly than me. ^.^ -- I know you aim for low undo counts but at least you can include high-speed in your target. Just believe youself, you can make it!

I worried about the slight lag around 3010 fr., though I had reduced 1 fr. lag. Due to the quality of the game, this time I should be serious doing this run. Sorry, I should explain some clearly. First you can shoot the joker with 3-way shoot twice like the previous stage fight, then 3 jumps totally are enough for me to knock him down without any movement till the end. The 4th jump is unnecessary(mean you can avoid it with good previous jumps) but I like Linnom's cool ending(still within 932s). That's cool(fly to knock him down). D BTW, play style than speed or speed than play style. What's the priority you'll choose. Your choice is very important to me. ) Edit And that's remind me there is another ending(very possibly buggy). When he has 0 hp, then you punch him. That's the ending in this movie, kneel and lose his hope...(I dont know how to describe it). When he has 2 hp, then punch him. you wont see this scenario(it been skipped).

To FODA: Thanks for the testing, FODA. :) I just guess the logic how the game(other game may also) is working. Have more pressed key combination then may produce more timing. That's why I call it invisible frames. As for "unless its a part of frame, like 1/2", right, that's the thing I really want you to feel. To Master Bisqwit: Thanks, I'm just lucky to find it. To Bag of Magic Food: Yes, you can say that again ! BTW, I found something about enemy, that blue car(aka. spinning gear). It may has the most time-consuming. Take care of them maybe a good idea. Edit: BATMAN WIPs, level 1 finished(23 fr. ahead). Anyone would like to continue ?

Okey (I'm not good at english, if there is grammar problem, you can mercilessly point it out, please.) Here are my thought - Weapon (batarang, gun, 3-way shoot) For example, Batarang is the middle distance weapon. When you throw it to the enemy, CPU will start calculate its moving path and check if there is enemy at its position. When it move one distance(1 frame ? maybe or maybe not), CPU check it once. So at weapon time, CPU will have an extra "weapon hit" calculation in the normal subroutine. Of course, when batarang hit enemy, CPU takes some clock cycles minus 1 hp from enemy. More hit then more -1, others same. Because it's the middle distance weapon, CPU will have less time to calculate it. If gun, ya that's right. It's very far away distance depending on your move to affect it to out of screen. So gun will active CPU more time(clock) to process. Next 3-way shoot. Including all above, it has wide rang need to process. Not only in the straight way but also the the measure of area. So 3-way shoot is the most Time-consuming usage. - Jump When jump then jump high. When you are on the rise, game will process how long you press the jump, then determine your height. When you are down, just like normal movement but the thing when back to the groud. So after such difference, you should jump high. But sometimes if you are in the large room, you will active the enemy upper stair. So try a good way, jump high or not. It depend on the next motion you need to do. .● /█\ . /\ AB ──┐ G ......└── B is the edge of road. one step more you will drop. A is the previous step than B. Same logic, if no other cases I may choose A as my start to jump. Sometimes G has different plateform such as stage 2-3 chain road. small jump on it is a good idea. .● /█\ C.......... E ./\ ┌─┐D ┌─┐ F . ─┘. └─┘.. └─ Next when you move to F, which one you'll choose ? C then F or D then F, I have no idea, sorry. Though there are the same 2 jumps need. Above they are hardly to detect difference in a short term. When you combine jump and shoot, the lower position will be a good idea. About the wall jump and the maximun particles we should avoid, that's a trouble for me. ---- Not correct completely. You can test it. ^.^

Jump high, wall jump , kill enemies or not ,...etc. More advance the timeing you jump high, the timing you wall jump, the timing you shoot them all, the angle you walkthough the enemies. Though these are not right completely, I always test them. Because there may exist invisible frame(1~2) for some long term journey. Edit There are more high advance I want to say but I think you may lose your mind.

Well that let me confused. >on level 5-1 on the biggest lag on the level, i think you can try to some options to avoid the lag - kill the first flamethrower below - dont jump too high, keep the screen down to kill the 2 cars below - if not possible to keep screen down, dont shoot at the two cars, the weapon sprite lags too. Very thanks for the knowledge, that's helpful. I had tried similar things before. If I killed the first flamethrower, then in the next right side there would be 3 flamethrower upstair. Still maintained 3 flamethrowers in the "operation" screen. About "Dont jump too high and kill..." I had forgetten what had happened, sorry I'll try it again. If I didn't kill 2 cars but use batarange just kill the 2 flamethwowers upstair or use 3-way shoot kill 2 flamethrowers & 2 cars upstair, that would be slower 8 or 10 frames. Sprites or weapons is hard to make it balance for me. ^.^ I can select a average lag solution so you cannot easily feel the music lag but that will be slower.
