Also, is it open source so that rerecording and savestate features + other TAS tools can be implemented?

I'd watch it. In fact, I think an FDS run has a lot to offer compared with a US release run. They changed a lot.
Mind elaborating on some of the differences?

100% accuracy isn't important in this game because it's just loading screens. but when loads take over 2 times as long, it's just not appealing to watch at all. I know, comparing TASes to non-TAS runs is something you people are against, but really, it's possible that the TAS time could be longer than the non-TAS time <_<
I didn't notice any abnormally long loading times, but since my computer runs it slowly, mind trying it too and confirm?

Does this game even have tricks that rely on loading times like Metroid Prime? If not, can you ignore the loading times and count only the actual game segments while TASing?

I've just remembered something. You know the badge shop keeps the badges you sold to it, right? Well, how many badges can it keep? Also related is how many badges can you own at one time?

Nice! Now that you guys are on Chapter 5/6, there's cannons there, right? Do you think it's possible that with careful positioning, the cannons can be skipped without changing into paper form?

Lua support for the Dolphin emulator itself WITHOUT the need for cheat engine would be nice. Same thing for Ram watch.

Well, for Paper Mario the Thousand year door, there's a screen that shows off these statistics. Is there something similar in the first game?

Just to add to the confusion: I hadn't factored in that one movie was the Japan Rom and one was the American Rom, and so once again there is a question mark hanging over whether they are runs of the same game or not. Moreover I cannot find anywhere whether or not this same trick is possible on the American Rom too. So now there are two possible different reasons for unobsoletion: different branch, and different game. Would it be appropriate to contact Pirohiko? Knowing whether the save corruption is also possible on the USA version would clarify things.
Are you talking about EarthBound? If so, even if it was exclusive to a region, I don't think it would really matter since both runs use the debug menu. :P

It's your own fault for bringing up Pokemon. An automatic confusion ball for the 0:00. Also Team Rocket is Yellow only. Which if it was a "no major glitches" TAS would waste time compared to Blue. That's why it's Separated. Also if you want to be smart go ahead and obsolete the current Blue tas with a 0:00 oh wait it's mythological.
Please link to where it said Pokemon Blue is unable to do the save glitch instead of simply claiming it is impossible without actual backing. Also elaborate how team rocket is even involved in a save glitch run??

Is there anyway to bypass/skip/shorten the timer? Edit: Also, regarding OoB, is there anything that can be further abused with it?

Just think of it as this. Castlevania is a Platform Game because of all the jumping and stuff you do it is also and Action Game because of the amount of violence usually within the game. Mario is a Platform Game but given and E rating it cannot be an Action Game. That's my theory anyway.
Why would you think rated "E" makes it unable to be an Action game? Just because it has violence, it doesn't mean it's a gore fest. Heck, Mario games have cartoon violence in the form of stomping enemies/burning/smashing/etc.

I don't think because its a platformer it should be tagged "Action". Some games like that Ivy the Kiwi are puzzle platformers where despite having some action, it's mostly focused on puzzles.

But this TAS Ganonless route uses many tricks that are in 0 other TAS and RTA categories - I have never seen this dodongo's cavern hover or this strat for going eyeball frog -> fire temple -> wrong warp to credits before in any run. It's arbitrary, sure, but it is not 'obsolete' or 'shows nothing new' and certainly isn't comparable to 'publishing 16 star when we have 0 star' because the requirement is so different.
Just because this run uses tricks not present in the other categories doesn't mean it warrants publication as a seperate category. For instance, the previous "no save corruption" pokemon blue run used a gltiched not present in the other runs (Inventory overflow) that was later obsoleted by a run using the transform glitch.

Besides, if a Super Metroid RBO is publishable, why not this?
For this run, it's more like SM64's case and the 16 star submission that was rejected.

If you would submit a run on TASVideos of minimal press buttons, it will be rejected, because no one counts how much he presses button. like: http://tasvideos.org/3556S.html
Unless it was a "Jumpless/No A Button" run that changes the route significantly similar to the SMB walkathon.

Why did he suggest a tomatoe picture? Its supposed to be a SCREENSHOT. Because when the submission gets approved and published that screenshot will be here. A tomatoe picture as a screenshot would be absolutely ridiculous!
He placed it there as a joke. I'm pretty sure the publishers are aware of that, and would not actually use it as a screenshot. >.>

Since I feel this will be rejected, I recommend it wholeheartedly for gruefood delight. The early poll results suggest that some people are voting "no" because they don't think this movie should be published. "Did you find this movie entertaining?" doesn't mean "Should this movie be published?", it means "Did you find this movie entertaining?"
I voted "meh" since it didn't really offered anything new and surprising, compared to the current TAS.

Hello guys! Here is a TAS of a SMW ROM Made by me!
I know it's an old post to bring up, but:

I can't help but feel like this game is someone's senior project for college, and not an actual sellable game. It is like a ROM hack, but instead a copy. Perhaps I'm wrong, but since PC games are so easy to make, it seems like we need to draw a line, like we do for hacks. Otherwise, I could write a game called "DarkKobold winz thiz TAS" and try and get it published.
Which is pretty much how I feel about this submission.

Couldn't you get 100% and use the purple boxes to get the few that would waste tons of time (like the play in free ride for two hours (in city trial))? And also, you can use the purple boxes to get 100%. Me and my brother have gotten everything twice in this game (stupid memory card corruption) and the first time we used them, and the second time we didn't.
I've finally remembered about this so here's the result: Unfortunately, despite able to get this message, the purple boxes can be further checked. If you want proof, I have a savefile of 119 checkmarks here: http://sdrv.ms/183G2eT *(Skydrive link) Fill in the check with a purple checkmark, then win 1 round at the Fire stage. The purple would then turn gold. So technically, for a 100% to count, you would have to do every thing.
