I found most of the glitches used in my runs by accident lol. Examples: Keitai Denjuu Telefang - Speed Version - Phone glitch discovered only because I was trying to get rid of the ringing (which prevents me from battle, starting conversations, etc) and coincidentally, the frame that I paused on triggered the glitch. Densetsu no Stafy - Discovered the save glitch while messing around in real time (while still recording) and restarted the game by accident. Wario Land II - I wasn't even trying to clip through the walls; I was trying to optimize a turn, and somehow accidentally clipped into a wall. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie - The speed preservation was found by chance very late into the game, causing me to redo the run several times. The OoB glitch was from an attempt to optimize a turn. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - I changed the camera angles for entertainment purposes, and found that it also manipulates NPC vehicles. Spider-Man 2 I input the password coincidentally at the frame the credits trigger Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Makai no Tobira - I was trying to improve the entertainment value of the boss fights when I discovered the special attack glitch. Monster House - I found out the door glitch in real time, but wasn't able to replicate it until I record myself playing real time, and it just happened.

He said that on the first paragraph BTW... so I think he means a "warpless" run rather than "perfect".
Oh. I thought he actually believed the run was absolutely flawless and unimprovable:

Now, we are working on a faster end of the game (not just using the level 3 glitch).
Nice to see this game get broken further.

People down-vote TAS's of (officially licensed) games just because they're bad games lol <_<? The more official games TASed the better IMO, as long as the TAS itself was done well. No need to limit the game library because you think the game is bad, somebody that grew up with it may think it's fun, it does have a unique theme.
So, you want runs of these boring, but official games published?

The TAS is going to be in J because of the text difference. I believe that it will be more entertaining with faster text instead of having to wait through it. Also, a large amount of the audience is Japanese (just compare the views on YouTube to the views on niconico). Also, the J version makes the route more interesting to me. Overall, it just seems more entertaining than U.
:P I've read through the differences, and it seems (J) is (somewhat) harder. In my opinion, that's a better reason to write in the submission text than because of text differences (which will cause another needless flame war).

The reason for the different routes is Triforce Charts and Rupees. One chart takes 4 extra charts to get. There are less rupees in certain place on J. The only place on the top of my head is skipping the barrier cutscene on J, which you can't on U.
So...the (U) version is faster? Then why does it seem that the TAS will be in the (J) version?
It was going to be slightly modified to suit the (J) version, but the discovery of dry storage is going to require large route modifications anyway.

So what's the point of going off the screen? Does it make you break through the wall?
No, its to piss people off stop the game from loading locked doors (notice how I don't collect a single key, yet there's a bunch of locked doors I went through).

Why don't you dash more when wandering around off camera?
1. You can't dash diagonally. 2. Sometimes, it's faster to simply walk. 3. The dashing sound doesn't play while off-screen, so it may appear I'm walking the entire time.

How did you know where to move around in the walls to reach the next floor without a hack like that?
To find out where you are while off-screen, simply pause/unpause the game - You'll appear in the screen along with the room you're in for a very brief period of time during the fadeout.

On another note, why didn't you played it in the Hard Mode?
You need to beat the game first for hard mode.

I must say, if this run exploits glitches to avoid having to fight anything or do anything, skip the glitches and just fight something or do something!
:P Similar runs exists. So I hope this run gets accepted.

Thanks! Assuming the 19 minutes of text differences is ignored, which version of the game is predicted to be faster in an any% run?

I think we need a cam hacked version.
Well, I found addresses like 02002E64 which seem to correspond to the camera, but when edited, it doesn't do anything. Instead, another address is responsible for that; said address unfortunately also seem to change every floor.

I will post the full route we had developed for the (U) version. It was going to be slightly modified to suit the (J) version, but the discovery of dry storage is going to require large route modifications anyway.
Sorry if this is common knowledge, but why does the route need modification for the (J) version?

Uh...the encode for some reason is still uploading, so here's a suggested screenshot of the run: Frame 32157 It was hard to find a pic because most of the action is off-screen. :P Edit: Link to video

This is hilarious. However, it doesn't actually beat the game! It gets Game Over, which means you lost the game. Is it possible to extend input a little longer and beat the Dark Queen from where you are?
Check the end of the video. :P Or is the end of the video not part of the input file? o_0

Hi. I've stumbled upon this video, and vaguely remembered hearing this music before. I'm not exactly certain if it was from a game, but if so, can anyone please tell me what game was it?

Cutscenes and overworld segments seem all too frequent and the game is quite slow even during levels. The painful music doesn't help, either.
Well, at least it has some..."TAS-like" qualities? For example, the boss fights (such as the final boss) are normally much harder to do in real time. Also, at least it got 8 yes votes? Edit: Worse games have been accepted before. I'm not sure if its a good reason though. Edit 2: I've seen runs like the recent World of Goo run (no offence to the author) that is mostly loading and cutscenes.

Thanks for your impression!! But what do you mean by don't give a good impression? The amount of frame is what it should do ok for rerecord but it's my first frame
I mean that it may not be optimized, or have no noticeable improvement. But I haven't watched it yet so I'm not going to vote based on rerecord count in case it was not entirely correct.
