If you read my post, I said "Bowser Exempt". So... uh.. yeah. Throwing Bowser with B is fine. Similar to the suggestion of the "minimal A" run, use it in the bowser section because you have to. So, Bowser exempt, is a B and Z-less run possible? Like I was saying before, what would be the first star you get?[/i]
That's not a well defined goal. That's like having a "no A button until the last stage run" as a goal. =P

Here is COEL625's video on skipping Robo-Sandy and Robot Patrick. Here is frozenstar0's original "disable the hand" glitch video. This is the only "Saving Game" glitch video I could find (the other one was itsPersonnal's, but was deleted from YouTube for some reason). That should help you with the Game Resources page.
Thanks! Just a note: Since you are a player, you can edit it too, in case me or others are busy. :)

When I placed two down another grew back some how(Glitch?), but I was never able to get it to do that again. I think we should just do the Yoshi clipper before everyones brains explode. It's simple and we already know how to work it.
If it saves 10 minutes in the TAS, it is damn worth the trouble.

If that doesn't work, try this https://dl.dropbox.com/u/11111638/dolphin%20MP%20test.7z It has 1/3 the load rate for gc games.
What exactly is the average loading time of a GC game anyway? Anyway to emulate the loading times to be around that? Also, does this mean future runs using this version of dolphin will be longer than runs not using this?

Couldn't you get 100% and use the purple boxes to get the few that would waste tons of time (like the play in free ride for two hours (in city trial))? And also, you can use the purple boxes to get 100%. Me and my brother have gotten everything twice in this game (stupid memory card corruption) and the first time we used them, and the second time we didn't.
Hold on, I'll check what you said about the purple boxes. Edit: Here's the dtm for the 00:03:68 lap. I hope someone improves it one day.

The coconuts should be as close together as in my video, so you are pushed out, without even talking to the guy, but when done right, you can talk to him while being pushed out (quite frame perfect), like I did in the video, which should push you out even more, but I just couldn't clip.
Maybe the coconuts should be placed slightly further/closer from the glass?

What I did was put a coconut on each side of him as close as possible, or at least very close. I was very close to clipping in a few times after talking to him, but I'm pretty sure that with proper positioning you can get the coconuts to push you through. I'll try and get a picture of my own setup later today.
Wait, I think I know what you're trying to say. Let me take and upload a screenshot from dolphin to confirm it. Edit: Is is like this, but with the coconuts closer?

This looks really fascinating. I wonder how much of the game could be skipped using this.
Someone could try this everywhere to see what happens.

Here's an updated first lap TAS of GRASS. I'm sure more time could be saved eventually. Edit: And I was correct! I've managed to bring the time down slightly. It's now 00:03:68: I'll post the dtm if I can't improve it further, which is unlikely.

Well, I've found a problem already. The only pieces of fruit in Episode 1 are two coconuts on a tree. There is no third coconut nor are there any bananas. I've tried clipping with the coconuts multiple times but no luck so far; I'll continue trying and let you guys know.
Try using dolphin so you can use savestates. :)

Using the speed address, I tested the press A for one IV theory. its a trick I believe COEL625 found, he named it the Bubble Bowl Boost or BBB for short. pretty much just mash X while the hand grabs you and you get a crazy speed boost sometimes
Well, to keep things organized (and to avoid having to search all over the place), I've created a page for this game in the game resources. Here it is. It's sort of empty atm, since I'm not sure how to explain/unaware of some glitches.

Marx, why did you change the category from "pacifist" to "6%"? Could you explain to me what this 6% means? And does the number 6 mean anything special? Arbitrary numbers often do not make for good categories.
Maybe that's the lowest possible % of the game completed?

Does anyone here know how to hex edit DTMs? I'm trying to find out how the BBB works in general and I think the best way to do that would be to: input X every even frame, see what happens, input X on every odd frame, see what happens, input X for 2 frames then 1 holding nothing then 2 frames again.... and see what happens and so on. So doing this manually is a huge annoyance because window for mashing X is something like 315 frames.
Hope this helps. BTW, what does "BBB" stand for?

I'm actualy working with the fruit because I did clip in once but it required like three pieces of fruit because I suck at the glitch but I did mangage to do it. In Episode 1. I would recomend using the Banana because it probably has the best chance of working.
If you have a hard time doing it, maybe you can post some steps on how you did it WITHOUT yoshi?

This is taking way too long. Could anyone please help find the address for falling speed? Or at least Spongebob's position?

Speaking of which... Sorry to hijack this thread, but in Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom, runs sync perfectly....until you do this: 1. Play the movie until you get to a loading screen 2. Make a savestate 3. Stop the movie 4. Replay the movie 5. Load the savestate The movie then desyncs eventually due to the enemies behaving differently.

Didn't you say you saw SpongeBob go really high and he slowly started falling back down? How can I get the code to give me that result?
Actually, I saw that using a lower value outside the chum bucket, so I assumed spongebob would still be falling if a higher value was used.

I'm having the same problem as itsPersonnal. I stand in the Chum Bucket after disabling the hand and press A and B on one frame, with the 006C5144 code on. This is what happens every time I try. What could be the problem?
That's what's happening to me! I was thinking it was because I went OoB, since when I went OoB in Spongebob's dream by disabling the hand, I got that result too.
