I've seen many videos of in game music ripped from emulators, yet they haven't been removed yet.

I was not sure on the protocol for improving on movies that were still in the submission queue. It appeared that others agreed that the other movie was not up to TASVideos standards. I tried to encourage canceling the submission and having XTREMAL93 improving and resubmitting. It did not seem that there was going to be a response to this request so I just did the run myself and here are the results.
Don't worry about it, this happened before.

How do you measure the quality of a run? Rerecords? The amount of potential improvement? Or is it based on the author's claim that it is?

Not sure if you're sarcastic or not, but... This is a site primarily for perfect runs. Improvable movies are not "perfect", so they need to be rejected. Unless, of course it's a playaround. If you were sarcastic, or just trying to anger the staff, then ignore this message.

Well, the movie must have input added at the end. Since you can just download the input file, why not check if that certain input is winthin the file, or added later? Nevermind, I see what you mean. Youtube's timer is glitched up.

I disagree. Bad game choice is an opinion and keeps technically sound TAS from being published e.g. Back to the Future. It's the one voting rule I am vehemently opposed to and think should be changed. All it does is direct everyone's 'sperg-y rage toward games that aren't Mario or Sonic.
Well, this run is optimized, but there's no point in TASing it. There's no competition too; it's fixed length, so you can't "improve" it speedwise. It's an example of a bad game choice. So yes, bad game choice is a valid reason.

...and Mr. Krabs? By the way, why do you skip the credits and return to the World 6 map? Wouldn't it be better to see the credits at the end of the run? Yes vote anyway. Great improvement!
Remember all those password screens at the end of every stage? Well, if credits were shown, the input file would have to be extended to exit the password screen at the end. If input were to end earlier, the credits must be skipped. Sorry.

I can't find a single glitched exit at the second last stage of World 6. I'll continue on to the last boss. Edit: Ok, done! I'm writing the submission text now.

Just how much versions of this game are there? CoolKirby, why don't you try dumping your version to see which MD5 it is? Or is there another way to check without dumping the ISO? Edit: Just curious, the site says: Version 1.00 Edition Original, Player's Choice Are there other editions of this game?

How does the game determine if a glitched exit will appear out of bounds or not? Can it be manipulated somehow? (I've never TASed this game, so I don't know how it works.)
Idk. All I'm sure is that for the same stage, they appear in similar places. For example, I was lucky enough to save alot of frames in the world 4 stage "Trench Bottom" because the glitched exit appeared at a closer spot. In World 3, the stage "Sea Cave" had several glitched exits, but most of them were too far away. So I guess it depends on the stage and luck. Edit: Here's the Wip for World 5.

Thanks for the reply, CoolKirby! I've been trying for at least an hour trying to find an exit or something useful at the OoB areas in the Clyclops battle, but without luck. The WIP is here. I'm going to just fight the boss normally, since I can't seem to find a glitched exit.

Am I the only one who is interested in Spongebob? LOL Anyway, I'm almost done world 5. One more thing. I discovered that the run is HIGHLY improvable. It not due to unused tricks or sloppiness however. I found out that completing a stage differently, despite ending the same frame, causes different amounts of lag in the future. It could be in the next stage, or even the next world. This seems to happen alot in the autoscrollers, giving me another reason why to hate them; the can't be easily hexed in. >.>

I played this game many times and I don't need so many rerecords
If this gets published, in before it gets obsoleted within a week or so. =p

I'm almost done World 4! It's pretty much the same as the published run, however. Edit: Done World 4!

Brandon, do you have a copy of the original version of this game to verify this run? If you do, or know someone that does, I would love to see this run on a console. :)

I'm about to finish World 3! I'll post the WIP once I'm done, but for now, here's a screenshot of frame 37447: Edit: World 3 done.
