I'm not sure about whether or not I should use those jeans, but I editted out because the baby's pow might not be much of a factor for most of the run.
But thanks for your opinion! =D
Uh...I just want to tell you people that I just found a strange glitch in the game that prevents progress...
Sadly, it's completely useless, and if you save, you're stuck
As you can see in this video, I got the Unarmed Jeans thinking they might do more damage on the hammer bros, only to find out later that the meager +5 pow bonus doesn't increase the damage done to them at all.
Should I sell the jeans? Or should I edit the part out?
After some testing, I discovered that to do the most damage with Bro's/Ice Flowers, Press the bro's button once every 6 frames.
When the flower sithes to another bro, wait for 2 extra frames before firing. That would result in the most damage done in the fastest possible time. It's actually faster than Turbo.
After some testing, I conclude that:
Risk Badge > Dire-Pow Badge > Pow-peak Badge > Hit-Pow Badge/ Big-Pow Badge
So therefore, I am going to buy 2 Dire-Pow Badges and 2 Risk badges because it doesn't seem that the badge's effects stack, so giving them to the Babies only seem nessesary if they are going to battle.
Omg! I just found out that my run is slower than LightBlueYoshi's! To be exact, every part that showed him using Toad as a boost.
......
Why didn't I thought of that?
......
Oh well, time to restart the run!
.....
Edit: Well, that was a waste of time. I gained 10 frames......
just to lose 30+ frames due to lag ._.
I guess I can't Toad boost anymore....
It seems that LUCKY! hits are mostly determined by the bro's statche points, which sucks because that means that I can't really mainipulate it to appear more frequently, just when does it happens during battle.
So, I think I'll focus on raising Pow and neglect the other the stats.
Also, I found the addresses for all the bro's stats and the enemy's hp.
You found it boring? I found it to be incredibly frustrating because I kept dying from well....Almost every boss in the game(I still die sometimes). That's why I want to try to TAS it; to make a game like this look easy.
Anyway, should I post wips here, or create another thread?
I currently want to do a run of this since it's a nice game. But I don't know if I should post my wips here, or create another thread. So what should I do?
You're right. The lag is from the obstacle spawning. I jumped to avoid lag caused by me moving too much.
I wish I could, but you can't jump to the left continously using the charge move. If I jumped through without charging, I would be crushed by the ceiling.
The first 5 worlds improved:
World 1: Bikini Bottom
World 2: Coral Canyon
World 3: The Desert
World 4: The Trench
World 5: Shell City
World 1: Bikini Bottom ------------------- 18468 Frames
World 2: Coral Canyon ------------------- 12183 Frames
World 3: The Desert ---------------------- 17299 Frames
World 4: The Trench ---------------------- 18935 Frames
World 4: Shell City ---------------------- 16222 Frames
I'm on the last World right now.
If anyone wants to do a 100% run of this game, I think the best weapon should be the Minigun.
I'll post a video about keeping the minigun(waste 19 seconds) from Salt in the Wound Mission.
Video Here
Is it useful in a 100% run?
New method to mainipulate the cars:
1. Instead of autofiring the Start button, Hold the Start button for 2 frames after this frame:
2. Then hold start for 2 frames at various times to skip the rest of the cutscenes.
3. Combinations remain the same.
Usefull Frames and combinations:
Edit: That's it. I'll find out the fastest way to get police patrol/Dukes/some car before posting it here. Sorry.
Cars Found:
Dukes(red)
I guess my goal should then be to mainipulate the Dukes to be as close to the safehouse as possible.
Oh, and I also found out how to mainipulate the window part and I think I found out when do the spawn points of cars are determined.
The point when cars spawns are determined:
1. Right after the first autosave notice and before the first cutscene. After the first cutscene, you can't seem to mainiplate the combinations that you can obtain.
Example: autofiring start at frame 1100 gives me a different combination of spawns than autofiring on other frames.
2. There are several possible combinations for every frame. The L button can be used to find out every possible set of spawn points in a combination.
3. Waiting in the menu/pda will not affect the combination of spawns that are possible.
4. Waiting for several frames after you can run will change the vehicles that appear, but they are actually still part of the combination of spawns you have.
Combinations:
1. Hold B here:
2. Same as above, but also hold L
3. Same as above, but also press L several times
4. Wait until the screen looks like this:
then do number 1
5. Same as above, but then do number 2.
6. Same as above, but then do number 3.
Edit: I have proof! I autofired at frame 1100 to the window part, made a savestate, then tried to do the exact same thing twice. Once without tools, and the other with tools. I got the same car to spawn at the same place:
Note: This still works in the newest version of DeSume, but autofire is no longer the fastest method to do this because the cutscenes sometimes fail to skip even after autofire.
One more question.
Can I use the secret input codes during the Tas to get weapons?
Because doing so would save alot of time.
Edit: If I can't, then can I use it to raise my wanted level to the highest just for fun?
Police cars/patrols seem to be slower.
Sure, I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestion!
I'll try and see if I can enter it.
Also, is it possible to have a comet or some fast car spawn near the safehouse?
Sorry Greenalink but.......
I found a way to beat the game in 4:00
I plan to find a way to get a sub 4:00 time before I submit it.
Edit: Is the Hellenbach faster than the Duke? If it is, How does it look like?
