Well, he still hasn't submitted his supposedly legit pokemon black TAS yet, so I doubt it.

Not sure where to post this, but why do graphical plugins seem to have an influence on whether games work on mupen? How do they cause gameplay differences? :o

Did you ever managed to figure that out? Is it possibly sub-pixel related?

So what's the actual time?
Mupen runs SM64 at exactly 30fps, but NTSC runs the game at 29.97. So with enough number crunching you can figure it out based on that.
Multiplying 5:00.36 by 30/29.97 gives about 5:00.66, still closer to sub 5 than any other movie seen so far. How is this "not even close to sub 5"?
Something's wrong. It was reported that converting mupen files -> bkm does this:
0 star time is 5:04.88 (it was 5:02.25 on Mupen-rr) 120 star time is 1:20:45.40 (it was 1:20:41.52 on Mupen-rr)

Wait, there are (U) only tricks? How much time does (U) specific tricks must save so that it would be faster than (J)?

What's the problem if we're either close to sub 5 or not? The TAS is really amazing and entertaining, that's what matters!
You're right. The problem is more of using a faulty emulator to get a "lower" time due to how Mupen calculates said time. :/

But then TASes are simply not legit. When people deliberately use inaccurate emulators for faster times, it hurts the TAS community.
I wonder if it would be allowed for mods/judges to manually correct the time back to the actual time to prevent this?

Why are they still using mupen. In fact why are people still using that to TAS?

Nice work, looks much better. One thing to notice, the U version might be faster as far as I know, or am I wrong? Have you checked that carefully enough?
If that holds true, can it be easily edited in? I don't see any RNG at first glance, and there should be no text differences.

one clumsy death near the end because of bad emulation
How is that related to emulation? Also encode please.

Given that the published TAS is a vault run, this was surprisingly entertaining. Yes vote.

Amazy Dayzees do not appear in every encounter. They only appear at two points in the game. One is randomly between floors 91-99 in the Pit of 100 trials, the other is the forest in Chapter 4. So you could only manipulate encountering them at that part more often, not manipulate them in every fight.
Er...yea poor wording. That's what I meant by "every encounter" as in seeing them every single time at those locations. Also, it's 100%, it's a vaultable category, so might as well be completionist. :P

Some questions on a 100%: *Any badges dropped by npcs that would be faster to obtain as a drop rather than whereever it may appear otherwise? *Is it possible to just mix a "Mystery" for pretty much all recipes, including ones that require more than 1 ingredient? *I know in a normal run, getting maxed levels would be insane, but in a TAS, could this be considered since it's possible to manipulate amazee-dazees on every encounter? **Speaking of which, how many amazees can appear in 1 battle? Is the amount the same for pit of 100 trails? **Also do they always give more than 1 xp, or would eventually you reach far too high levels to get more than 1 xp per kill? *Is it possible to somehow skip parts of chapter 5, yet still get the star for it using the early keyhaul glitch? **Is it possible to activate chapter 6, get Cortez's tattle from the trash, then go back and get the chapter 5 star? *Other than the normal all stat screen, collection screen, etc, what other sidequests are needed for a 100%?

Post the file onto another file sharing site like mediafire and then post the link here.

There are no “No” votes, this should just be published normally.
I think it's better to check the entertainment ratings, but it seems most of the raters were non-public, so I have no clue if it's heavily divided, or most people rating this at ~5-7.

No, towards jlun2. Dokokashira door is a glitch which is only exclusive to the Japanese version of Red and Green. Remember this, I only wrote Red and Green. Japan's Pokemon Blue is our Blue and Red. I don't remember the story behind Yellow but it came out after Blue and that was also a game which fixed a few glitches from the other versions.
This is not a vaultable goal. It doesn't matter if it's exclusive if it's possible to beat the game at a even faster time.

Can this movie be obsoleted by the Yellow TAS? It is not a vaultable goal, and it seems possible to do save corruption on the original red/green versions as well.

IIRC, someone said earlier that using Yellow is the fastest for save corruption.
I thought they only compared blue/red against yellow, and not green/red, but I might be wrong.

Yes.

It's based on whether the TAS of it would be different than what the published movies already showcase, so it's rather hard at times to find out unless you make a rough TAS of it first.

:o Is there a list of (J) only glitches out there that can be checked? Also, how many times can this be done? Would the guy appear back later?

I haven't watched it yet, but since the Ninjabread Man / Anubis II thread barely mentions a thing about the latter (seriously why a topic for 2 games??) this came out as a surprise.
I think because they are near-reskins of the same game. They even have the same 'skip two levels ahead by mashing' glitch.
I wonder would a TAS of Ninjabread Man be accepted as well then?
