6 seconds and it ended up being one of the more boring Atari TASes I've ever seen in my life. No vote.

Well, this game sucks, and looking at the hard mode (which seems to show off more of the game due to different placement of items, not sure for better or worse) I found this run off worse since the easy setting makes some of the stages (first 2, for example) just jump right for justice.

I haven't, but if I can suggest something, can the 100% use the OoB glitch? Since it can only be used once, it would be utilized quite differently than the any%, thus showing off more of the game.

It is the game's fault. I tried Bsnes v84 and Higan v95. There are sound glitches even under Snes9x 1.52 & 1.53. Snes9x 1.51 is my final decision since the game doesn't seem to give correct sound under any emulators with higher accuracy.
Wouldn't a run that does that be rejected for (known) inaccurate emulation?

The movie is recorded under Snes9x-1.51-rerecording-v7. I know it's deprecated, but there are occasional music glitches when the game is running on either lsnes or Bizhawk. I will continue working on the test-run and upload the WIPs when I have time.
Try running it on Bsnes/Higan to see if the sound glitches are still there. If it is, then most likely the game's fault.

As far as I can tell, this means that an any% TAS of this game should ideally be done on the PAL version with Italian text: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98VhrlTp5FE Japanese is no longer the fastest language at this point and even if you consider the fact that the NTSC Ferris Wheel is like 2-3 seconds faster than PAL, Italian text is still too strong. Not to mention Sirena 6 has better conditions on any version that isn't Japanese, so that would probably save some time as well.
LOL! Also what did you mean by "better conditions"? Are you talking about the King Boo fight?

I got 2 questions. 1. For pinaata village, is it possible to get to that secret stage as soon as you enter the place? Or does it not exist until you reach that point? 2. Can you clip into that gate in bianco hills or use OoB, thus skipping 2 petey fights?

Just curious, but for FCEUX, the lag counter seems incorrect for this game. Has that been fixed in BizHawk?

Any VBM of this? This can lead to a glitched branch.
I think that's the first post, but since I also remember posting about the game randomly crashing during any battle before, it could also be that.

So..... Link to video No idea why it does that, but this seems like the earliest place you can do it. Basically pause right before an event and open another menu there.

Glitches that crash the game in a lot of different ways each time you are doing them are usually a sign that really crazy stuff is going on.
:o Well, I know these 2 games that crashes and displays different results, both for the gameboy. I wonder if something can be made out of them?

You should probably post WIPs (Work in Progress) files at the forums, since based on the comments it doesn't seem it was optimized.

That's for the 3DS release, not the VC one.

That's....actually quite clever. Using sketch to copy the glitch move to allow it in battle faculties. Now I'm curious on what happens if you trade it to ruby/sapphire/gcn games or transfer to d/p/pt. Also

I would rather not see glitches be used in the Battle Frontier anyway. That would make the experience cheap.
Normally, I would've agreed, but given how luck is manipulated in Frontier (everything is determined beforehand), it'll probably be better to do it this way.

Unlike the other one, this NES tetris game collects no entropy during gameplay, so you cannot change the piece sequence once the game is started, except by pausing and using the konami code to get one I piece per level. Without being able to pull those statistically unlikely shenanigans, you simply have to accept the blocks you are dealt. Pure skill, knowledge of the piece sequence for route planning, and inhuman reactions times are what is showcased here.
So basically Doctor Mario but with less glitching. Oh well.

There is one thing that I missed... This needs 2 branches: 1 with minigames and other with no minigames.
Does the minigames add anything to the run in terms of entertainment or ingame percentage counter (if this game even has one)?

The Battle Frontier automatically heals your Pokémon between battles thus making it unusable.
I thought the eggs already had full health. :o Can you bring them to battle frontier anyways?

I'd pay to see an All Gold Symbols run though, although it'll probably be a few decades before anyone decides to optimize that.

According to luckytyphlosion you can't battle Tate & Liza or possibly do the doubles Steven battle with just the Bad EGG, so that's an obstacle for this run.
Since the glitch turns several pokemon to bad eggs, maybe manipulate it so that 2 or more eggs would have that glitched move?

Luckytyphlosion has got two of the glitch moves that let you flee from a Trainer battle on a real console and without cheating, so it's definitely viable, yay! That's unless the game doesn't let you enter the Hall of Fame with Bad EGGs or you white out though. The fact that luckytyphlosion got two good glitch moves may suggest they aren't that uncommon. Edit: You can defeat and enter the Hall of Fame with a Bad EGG.
That is absolutely hilarious. I wonder how long would this take to set up? Also, since this is emerald exclusive (mostly), the run would finally be a LOT different than the ruby/sapphire one. :D
