There's a link to it on Arc's site.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Easily one of, if not the best movie on the site. Anxiously awaiting the Rockman 2 video now :-) BTW, I loved Wiley level 3. That one had me laughing out loud.

No it's not :-) Before the 60fps hack you could easily tell when auto-fire wasn't being used.

So why arn't we using a ENGLISH version ROM of this game? Stop being a cop out and take the american version we can all understand (And harder game too!)
Why don't you read the rest of the posts in this thread. The US version doesn't work with Famtasia.

Some people have a life, you know. If you want to see one so bad then you make it.

Also you can use the Re-record trick so that every enemy drops a Experience bag. You know this right? It makes leveling up a BREEZE
No, every sixth enemy will drop a P-bag. No less.

I think I know the one you're talking about and yes Bisqwit does know about it. He actually found a better way through that screen.

I would hardly call time attacks "fun" to play anyway :-) I thought it would be less entertaining to watch without candle, too, but I think it ends up being more exciting. But I can understand if you don't want to do it without the candle.

but its definitely true that my run can be improved a lot i cant say anything different i know this.
I think you should try to level up more. In particular, I think leveling up attack will save time in the long run. It will allow you to skip some of those later keys by utilizing magic refills and not worry about wasting too much time killing enemies. I didn't play it, though, so I may be wrong. I'll assume you haven't seen Boco's run because she did several things that will save a lot of time compared to your way. 1. Get the hammer first so you can use fairy in the first palace. Sleepz determined that it is much faster that way. 2. Skip the candle and the cross. You don't need them. 3. Skip the spell spell and the magic key. Again, you don't need them. I did thought the fighting in your move was very cool. With the above changes and a little more planning with respect to keys and you'll have a great video.

with the fast levelling of the japanese version .. hwo should the nes version be shorter?? the other problem is, avoiding the enemies on the worldmap is harder than in the fds version.
Loading times for one. There are a lot of loading times that aren't in the US version. Secondly, you have to stab items to pick them up in the Japanese version so you can't use fairy in any of the rooms with items. Which means wasting time getting keys. I'm pretty sure the US version can be done without going out of your way for any keys.

Wow, it's longer than the Japanese version? Boco was sure it'd be quite a bit shorter.

Yeah, your name kinda got dragged through the mud there ;-) Our debate was more of a theoretical nature that used you as an example. I can only speak for myself but I never meant to imply that you would have sold them anyway without our permission. If you or anyone else thought that then I'm sorry.

I just want to know what made people so outraged?
I think most of us are just unsettled by the thought of people making money off someone else's work. It wouldn't have been much, I know, but it's just the principle of the matter.

Granting permission would get you, *at the very least*, greater exposure.
If he's willing to sell these CD's without our permission then what makes you think that he'd be willing to credit the people who actually did the work? Why is he suddenly going to be respectful of our wishes? Edit: I'm not necessarily talking about grassmunk here, more in a theoretical sense.

People making money off others' hard work is an old story: witness the music industry. I'm not saying this is right, but a reality.
That doesn't mean we have to support it. What I mean is if these were just being made to hand out then I don't think that anybody would care. But do you really expect us to say, "sure you can make money off of our work--so long as you mention the site on which they're posted." Come on. I know there's no way to prevent him from doing it, but that doesn't mean we are obliged to give him permission.

What about the time it took for us to make the videos or Bisqwit to encode and publish them? I think that is the main issue here. He wants to make money off of somebody else's work and I think everbody who has had a part in these videos should have a problem with that.

I would agree with you if it turned out to be significantly faster. I just don't think this new idea is going to take off that much time.

well in that case, I'm pretty sure the only non-kraid route that could be faster is one using 10 or 15 missles and either getting missles off the rinkas, or having the MB remember her damage.
Even if that is faster it would be boring as hell. You would have to leave the Mother Brain room 8 or 9 times just to refill the missiles to beat the game. Which also might not make it that much faster anyway. I think this idea would fall into the category of "faster isn't necessarily better." Even if a non-Kraid route could be faster it wouldn't be significantly faster and, IMO, would make the video less interesting to watch which would be a bad thing. Arc has done a great job with this video so far and I think he is in the best position to judge how to improve it.

Yeah, Bisqwit should probably take it off of the wanted list. It seems like a lot of people have wasted time trying to do it when it doesn't look like it can be done in Famtasia.

No. The recordings themselves are copyrighted, too. That being said, a piece like The Four Seasons has hundreds of recordings out there and if someone wanted to sue you they would have to prove that you used their recording. Not so easy.

I suggest you stop wasting your time. Last I read many of TGs local heroes are considering quitting competative gaming since everyone is acusing everyone else of cheating using emulators. This is a quote from Mister DAN in first post of the second page of that thread. This makes it quite clear that the ONLY people who have a problem with these videos are the ones who want to be idolized for their accomplishments. If they need other people to laud their efforts in order to receive satisfaction from their gaming is that our fault. IMO, only bitter people complain about others stealing their thunder.

If you want to know what game I am talking about- it's the Contra video by Genisto where he just constantly fires with multifire on.
If I remember correctly Bisqwit had a lot of reservations about posting that one because of the constant autofire. So if you video isn't too much slower he may at least co-publish it.

I thought the Famtasia into screen that Bisqwit used to do was enough. If people are too dumb to figure out what that means then who really cares.

I don't really understand 100% runs. Especially with Metroid. I don't care to see someone waste time getting items they will never use. Though I would like to see a Metroid run that also kills Ridley.

Man, that's a cool video so far. Two minutes faster on just the 6 robots. Very nice work. I've not had any luck at MM4 yet, either, though I haven't had time to try much.

I wonder if Megaman 3, 4, 5, or 6 have these kinds of holes to exploit? Or does Rush not allow it?
I think that's part of it but I also imagine that the collision checks and such are more accurate than in the first 2 games. They'll be a lot more difficult to find and execute. If it can even be done that is.
