hummm the kanjis say something like weapons storage locker edit: humm oh just noticed that you probably guessed right in the first post hehe :)
Well, I had a feeling, but i just didnt want to believe it. In the final RE2 version, the weapons box key is on the floor right after you ride the tram. You need to light a flare shooter thingy in order for you to see it glisten. I found this key in the B1 level of the police station by the autopsy room. It was in the same room as the power balancing switches that later grant you access to the room with the sidepack and the mac10 (neither of which are in that room in the beta version). Also, the weapons box key in RE2 final is not a key like it is in the picture. The real weapons box key is a cylindrical key with a tag hanging off of it.

I think that is the key to get into the locker in the precinct. The locker holds the second outfit for Leon, and maybe a magnum(?). Haven't played RE2 in forever, but that is what it looks like to me.
the locker that holds the second outfit for leon and the colt s.a.a. contains only h.gun bullets in the beta version. I've openned that locker, so it cant be that.

I recently started playing the beta version of Biohazard 2, and I came across an item image that I've never seen before playing the final version of this. Can anyone translate japanese/korean/chinese and shed a little light as to what this key is? I want to say that its the weapons locker key that gives you the C.magnum parts, but thats just a wild guess. that would mean the key is in the wrong quarter of the game, let alone the wrong room.

I don't think this topic warrants this much discussion... even ignoring all the precedent, allowing 100% will yield the runner more flexibility which can only lead to better movies. Good movies is what the site is all about. But if a runner feels like using 63% than by all means do.
did you read any of this thread before you posted? the argument is about whether 100% is realistically feasible, and based on this, deciding whether it is ethically responsible for the TAS community to do this. The 100% tilt thing may be fine to use, but using the logic of your argument, we should allow a tilt-cart dump run of each rom that just instantly teleports to the end and pass it off as a legitimate TAS.

i was the person who attempted this run first. I think it was rejected solely based on the fact that it was not interesting to watch, rather than it not being done well. i thought i did a good job, and have the fastest run time by at least a minute over the past runners. just make sure you beat 23:11 or whatever i got. i used warps.

Bahahahahahaha. That's the newbiest setup I've heard in a while. Thanks for the great laugh :) .
as a 5-year veteran of d2, i would have to say that that hes right harle - stock "good" helm, meh herald - unless its p-double upped, it aint no tempered p-exile with 1.6k def buls - idk which buls youre talking about, but both suck, ESPECIALLY on a hammerdin offensive charms - why? waterwalk - get some nice rare duped ones. waterwalks are .08 "good" might merc - all might mercs need upped gaze, and a weapon or helm that both give helpful auras. the items escape me becuase i havent played since a week after 1.11 came out (bots broke :( )

1) Vergil 2 from Devil May Cry 3
  • if youve completed the game before, you can have the beowulf gauntlets at this point. the gauntlets and agni&rudra on swordmaster mode make for a battle that so entertaining, it can draw a crowd. and the music is so good that it made me download the album
2) Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3
  • A showdown to the death with your trainer and mentor in a field of flowers. its a perfect ending to the perfect game. also, when boss's life gets below half, the intrumental version of "snake eater" sets in and gets gradually louder until someone wins the battle. i think its beautiful.
3) The final battle in FF8
  • unadulterated awesomeness.
4) Omega Weapon in FF8
  • same thing.

what would be the best weapon to use? i think its fairly safe to say that unless getting hit will bump you to a ledge or something, the player will have the gold armor for most of the game, giving them a cool charge up ability. the only one i know of is the dagger charge up, becuase i always thought they were the fastest / most damaging item in the game. but the gay dragon charge up cant be the tactical weapon though.

Don't forget that it may be possible that some games aren't emulated so well. Only games that are well emulated should be done. And there's Doom64 and Ogre Battle Person of Lordly Caliber
on the newest version of PJ64, i believe doom 64 is emulated perfectly. if this is feasible, i absolutely would love to see this game done well.

since its a rom hack, cant someone just post the actual rom insted of making us do this very sketchy process or running an exe from someone we dont know to "patch" a game file we all already have? since it wasnt a real snes game, why cant we post the rom file?

i would like to see a nice run of that old school Kirby's Pinball game. i forget exactly what its called, but its something very similar to "Kirby's Pinball" if done correctly, you could enter each boss second after beginning a level and just luck manipulate the crap out of him. I couldnt see the finished run being over 10 minutes if it was done well.

Didn't nintendo sell a robot back in the days for the NES? A robot that could play a couple of games flawlessly?
It was very short lived, and i believe it was only sold with the system. it was named "R.O.B.", and it only played a few games. Very few. They fetch a pretty penny on ebay.

I would still download a "faked and cheated" avi off this site if it showed someone catching a mew. But, inkeeping with the theme of the site, they must entertain me while they do it, and they must do it FAST!

Also, I fiddled around with bglayer 3, and turning it off does make it so I can see whats happening in the water level, but it also makes it so I cant see other things going on, like the wireframe sword in magna's level.
