i just got finished watching the mega man x submission, and i saw that he clearly had autofire on, but i cant find where to config that. can anyone tell me where/how to bind autofire to a button? and what is the button to show the fps? is there a button? also have any of you gotten the netplay to work? does it even work with v1.43 of snes9x? or should i try the newest version of zsnes? i really want to kick my friends asses in some mortal kombat 2.

could it be that my MK2 movie isnt desynched? maybe the game's moves are so randomized, that whether its in synch or not, the fight is different every round? that would explain why it desynchs differently everytime. i thought it had something to do with programs running in my background, but i turned nearly all of them off, and it still desynched. if the randomization is the case, then there probably wont be any time attacks for MK1, MK3, killer instinct, street fighter, ect. (is it desynched or desunk? desyunk?)

one question why should 100% completion be necessary if youre going for speed? now, im thinking of this strictly from the Mega Man X1 point of view. i dont see how getting the armor/helmet/sub tanks/heart tanks yeild a better ending. for X1, you could fly thru the game in weakness order fine, assuming that you start with chill penguin for the leg part. i think in addition to pure speed, no damage taken should aldo be a part of it. i cant think of an area where you could/should take damage to save time, unless you were in one of the armored carriers so MEGA MAN didnt take damage. but still, if you did something like that, is that considered damage?

ok, i just made a recording of me beating mortal kombat 2 on very hard, finding/deafeating jade, using fatalities every round, and getting flawless victories every round. or at least i thought i did... the damn thing keeps desynching after the first round, EVERY TIME. its really annoying me, becuase i spent like 2 and a half hours doing it and i didnt even get to watch myself kick kintaros ass. i'll post the smv to see if any of you can get it to work. you'll see the game version when you unzip the file. has anyone else been having desynching problems with the recordable snes9x? http://www.geocities.com/krieg1337/MK2.zip

has anyone thought about doing a metal gear time attack? it seems like it wouldbe extrememly hard to do. ive only beaten the game once, and it took me 2 and a half hours to do it, but i screwed around getting weapons i didnt need / rations / ect. im just curious. has anyone given any thought to how this might be done? im really thinking about trying it out and any tips or suggestions you have would be more than welcome.

sorry for triple posting, but its finally done and im glad to have my name on this. i have to go to work, but i'll be back by 8:30ish (5 hours from me posting this) and i'll submit it then. in the mean time, please watch it and give me thumbs up / thumbs down on it. Here is how it stacks up with my previous attempt 1) is 1:23 faster 2) uses standard bullets insted of laser 3) uses ammo more conservatively http://www.geocities.com/krieg1337/NonViolentContra.zip

ok, im extremely frustrated. i just got done with my 2nd attempt at a non-violent contra. and this version was DAMN good. beat the game in 11:31, used only the standard weapon....but... at the LAST SECOND, i kill an enemy by accident is there any way to re-try or continue a recording once you stop the recording the initial time? i'll sit down and do it again, but jesus christ am i mad at myself. here it is, if youre curious. http://www.geocities.com/krieg1337/Contra.zip

while i work on this, i would love to watch someones attempt of super contra. if no one does it, then after i finish this non-violent contra run, i'll take it upon myself to make a non-violent super contra run.

yes, but that would take FOREVERRRRR. theres like 6 or 7 segements in each base level and theres 2 base levels and waiting for all the guys to go away takes about 30-40 seconds we're talkin about adding a good 10 minutes to the time attack by doing that. oh, and the boredome of watching me do nothing the "non-violent" aspect of it originally was that no monsters, aside from bosses ect., died directly from my bullets.

thx for the feedback, and ive watched it myself about 5 or 6 times. everything youre saying is right and i do waste alot of time of that bull-alien thing. the next version (which i will be working on sometime soon if i ever get off from work) will have... 1)100% accuracy 2)Only use R power-ups and the standard weapon (but will use turbo-fire that i config with famtasia) 3)Kill no enemys except bosses / barriers 4)Beat the game in less that 12:00 i gotta say, its looking pretty impossible at the moment, but when i sit down with it for a few hours, im pretty sure it can be done and that i can do it. wish me luck. my goal is to make something good enough to have bisqwit make an avi of on his site. and seeing my name when i browse would be cool :)

ok, i spent a long time yesterday making a non-violent contra run. Give me some feedback and tell me whatcha think so i know how i can do it better. This is what im thinking so far. 1) remove excess jumping around, especially at the end of level 7 and beginning of 8 2) use only the standard weapon and only get R power-ups copy / paste it to the adress bar to get it. i dont know how to link to files in a forum, sorry. http://www.geocities.com/krieg1337/contra.zip

thats EXACTLY where it happened for me. at least i know im not crazy or i had a bad version of the game. i wish it was possible to finish this game though, because i am REALLY interested in how someone would beat that gauntlet of astronaught-thingys inside the technodrome right before shredder. i honestly think its impossible to do without getting hit.

ok, i tried to make a TMNT 1 nes time attack, and when i got to the 2nd-to-last boss, the rom freezes. has anyone else had this problem or even tried? my time attack was fairly decent, and at the very least would spark someone to do better than me, but i cant even finish it becuase of this problem.
