Oh shit, it's the thing I always wanted to see done, and destroyed. (I don't think you have to end your input at skipping Granny's cutscene, since it loads into credits iirc, but w/e.)
After Granny's cutscene the game asks you if you want to save or not. The last input was to select "no". Sheep Raider is on my list of possible ideas but I am not planning to do it in the near futur (1 hour TAS...)

Oh yeah, the story of how a level 1 Freelancer and his twin brother saved two worlds by killing a hunter. This is exactly what I remember about the story. Yes vote.

I believe it works on any PSX PAL version of the game.

I don't understand why you killed the route 3 Ekans with a not very effective Double Kick instead of a neutral Tackle ?

TAS are usually done without hitbox viewers because creating one requires a deeper look into the game code, and it would be especially difficult to display hitboxs in a 3D game like this one. Proceeding by trial and error is usually enough in most games.

I don't know the game, but these videos look decent. When doing the true TAS, you should really try to do something for entertainment in the autoscroll lecels (last video). Also, the diference in booting time between two different version of a game is usually not taken into account when judging a movie.

Question mainly about PSX and N64 emulation. Let's suppose that there is a game which has serious emulation issues with the currently accepted emulator, but is emulated well on a previously accepted emulator (PSXjin or Mupen64-rr for example). Does it mean that : 1) the game is currently unTASable or 2) a derogation can be made by a judge to allow a TAS of this game on the previously accepted emulator

I'm not familiar with Mahjong at all, but I'm wondering if there could be cases where a fastest completion is non-trivial enough for a TAS (remember, we have NES Solitaire published). Or could some versions of Mahjong even allow for some sort of playaround?
Theoretically, the fastest way to win is on the first turn (AKA "Heavenly Hand"), but the odds for that are really low even for a TAS (around 1 in 330000). The main issue with a Mahjong TAS is that a full match consists of 16 hands, so it gets repetitive really fast.

You can find some of them on Nicovideo, but they aren't really interesting to watch, and it must be even worse if you don't know the rules of the game. Link to video

Long runs like this usually took several month to be done with a moderate pace, if not more, so it's unlikely that someone without an interest in this game will ever pick it. This being said, feel free to give it a try if you like this game so much. All you really need is time and patience.

I modified stage 9 boss because using both the meteors and the charged spikeball is a waste of ammo. Assuming I didn't miss any ammo limitation, here is a possible ammo usage for the other 2 bosses : Boss n°2 : Charged Missile (49/10) Charged Star (43/9) Charged Missile (39/8) Meteors (29/7) (19/6) Whirlwind (15/5) (11/4) Whirlwind (7/3) (3/2) Charged buster (1/1) Charged buster (0/0) Boss n°3 : Charged Spikeball (47/10) (39/9) Charged Spikeball (31/8) (23/7) Whirlwind (19/6) (15/5) Whirlwind (11/4) (7/3) Charged buster (5/2) Charged buster (3/1) Flame/Star (0/0) After this there should be 1 uncharged Dirt for s11, 10 Bubble for the skips/damage and 1 unused uncharged Spikeball (now that I think about it, we can use it at the end of s9 boss instead of the charged Flame), though some attacks can be replaced by a Flame or Laser if needed.
