what I would really like to see is a playaround, because frankly the most entertaining videos of this game I have seen is those of Mario doing random extremely crazy stuff. Grabbing whatever stars you feel like, no restrictions on what glitches to use, and finish it in half an hour.
This might be what your looking for! A strange 16 star TAS I've been working on for a while, not for speed, but for entertainmet. Its in 3 segments due to my account having the upload limit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNdjfjK-CHE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdgIIOfY7qA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0ORpomq_70
That's nice! The way you enter the castle is neat -- definitely will not see that in any published TAS on this site. Normally, I prefer to watch the movie on the emulator due to higher quality video and sound. Can you please upload the m64 file ?

For some reason I feel that the run can be faster. The best part of the run is going thru the gate. YES vote from me!

Same as BoltR, I also think that think you should include the extra and special stages in the TAS.

The Super Mario World Unfinished 96 Exit Run by Fabian, skamastaG, jimsfriend and JXQ is nice. Vanilla Dome 2, the beginning part is unexpected. Amazing! Didn't know that you can fly under the water. In Vanilla Dome 3, didn't know that you can fly under the lava.

The new route to the second bowser is a nice change and the change of different camera gives different perspective. Voting YES!

Just finished watching it... it's unbelievably broken! Normally, I don't enjoy watching a Metroid game much, but this is entertaining. Yes vote obviously!

As has been mentioned, it's probably your computer that can't sync the two together.
Thanks for pointing that out! I re-watched the same video on a newer and more up-to-spec computer and the audio/video syncs fine. Excellent quality in TAS and encoding!

I like bkDJ's Hi-Res version. Any chance of redoing it so that audio/video sync together ?

Thanks to SL for posting the run! Few stars' route in BitS looks nice (and faster than published runs). The route to get the 15th star is simply amazing. Can't wait for the 120 Stars run. EDIT: forgot to mention about the "blast thru the wall" star, that was awesome.

Just finished watching this TAS and I think it's great! There are a few moments I heard myself saying "that's impossible, Al should be killed that lava already". Thanks for this fun run jaysmad! Voting yes!

I can't remember how many memorable moments I have with this run, probably a few. That's probably I've watched every SMW (and hacks) runs and it's difficult to find some moments where I say "wow!". There are two moments that somehow stuck on my mind: 1. In some earlier stages, before touching the finish line (pole or star), Mario hit a turtle (and so the turtle shell and koopa are to the right of the finish line. Then Mario hit the finish line and the animation sequence of have Mario hit the shell again. I found that to be funny and it's a nice touch. 2. In Pipe World 1, Mario flies under the ground in the first part and then flies with a key under the ground in the second part. I know, flying underneath is nothing new. The reason why that stage is stuck on my mind is probably because of flying below with a key. If I didn't read about those 3 new tricks before watching the run, I bet it's difficult for me to pick them up. I think the cap-stalling trick is interesting -- espcially the cap stacking sound. Overall, I like this run and voting yes!

"Wow" is the first word that came out of my mouth after watching this! I thought MegaMan, Mortal Kombat and Mario games are broken.... but never thought a game can be this broken. Awesome job! YES vote!

Thank you Mister for the very enjoyable run! The input animations are nice. The AVI should definitely include the input as a few has mentioned. For the Big Boo fight, is there an invisible platform at the top to allow Mario fly across horizontally to the right? Wondering what's Mister's next project... Yes vote!

Is it just me or the CRC that's reported is really different than the previously published run ? I know, it plays fine and it doesn't desynch eventhough it said the CRC is different. Thanks for the entertaining run!

I had a good laugh at the text "No needs explanations". My favorite answer is: "What part of NO don't you understand? The N or the O?" I think you meant "No need for explanation". As Tompa pointed out, I think you need to add more text to explain the imporvements or maybe at least say why you didn't use the flag pole trick in 2-1. (I think 8-3 has been mentioned many times on why the flag pole trick is not used, I assume it's the same deal with 2-1). Entertaining run and faster than the published run! Voting YES!

Watched a megaman run long time ago and have forgotten almost everything from that run.... When watching this run, the only thing that comes to mind is "this game is totally broken". Excellent job Deign! (and to everyone that's involved in making this run possible) YES vote obviously.

Awesome and very entertaining run! It's a big WTF when getting to the boss... but I like both versions. Thank you Cpadolf! An obvious YES vote.

Nice try! Definitely not up to par with the quality standard on this site. Due to the nature of this game ( a SMW Hack that has nothing special to add ), even if everyone voted YES here, I doubt it will get published anyway.

This run... errr.. play changes the meaning of TAS. Can this still be called TAS ? Or should it be called TAP (tool assisited play) ?
