Mario runs backward fast (that's probably the closest 2D version of BLJ we would see) Many funny glitches thru out the game that's mentioneds in the submission text and many that weren't mentioned. --> Especially, I like the one where Mario fell out of the mushroom house (where Mario would normally need to open a chest). --> Also, I like the one where Mario was running backward while grabbing a shell, then kicked the shell and the shell goes to left then right. --> Mario never touches the ground while fighting the boss in the first castle --> It seems like the funny list is endless... there are just too many to list. This run also suggested that the run can be done quicker (if the extra glitches were not shown). However, I prefer to see the funny glitches versus one that doesn't show it. The entire run shows that Mario is having tons of fun. It's very entertaining to watch. I can't believe we get so many Mario record-breaking/setting runs in the past few days. Thank you Genisto for this (and the SMW) run! Maybe you can now improve the other Mario games ? ;-) A definite YES vote for this run!

I will not be satisfied until you find a way to jump into that first warp pipe (the one Mario initially emerges from in the opening cutscene before it sinks back into the ground) and end up at the final Bowser fight. I'll wait another few years if I have to, dammit.
That's funny! Who knows, (if possible) maybe when you jump into that warp pipe, the game resets.

Holy Cow! 0 Star completion, Batman! An amazing & very entertaining run to say the least! It's funny to see Mario run & jump like a frog. Thank you AKA & Swordless Link for this run! Definitely a YES vote!

I just watched the 120 stars WIP. I was surprised by the new trick and I have to say that it's amazing. Looks like "try to use BLJ everywhere" is the best way to improve time. I really like the new camera angle for showing the eel coming out of the sunken ship before Mario can enter it. Thank you mr_roberts_z & Rikku for this nice WIP! Keep up with the excellent work !

As with the warp version, this one is very entertaining as well. It's interesting to watch Luigi (or any char for that matter) fight the mouse boss on it's platform. I was surprise to see Toad take the short cut that normally is only available to the princess. Very nice discovery & execution! Definitely a YES vote for this one!

Very entertaining run! I didn't know that you can grab an enemy from below (referring to Toad grabbing an enemy from world 1-3). Voting YES!

Very entertaining to watch, didn't realize that after bowser was killed, you can drop down to the cliff and still count as a "you win". At least I know that now. Voting yes. As Baxter mentioned, "Now do the 100% run please :P".

Voting yes! I find this one at least (if not more) as entertaining as the previous one. Not sure why some people feel sorry at all that the 1 star run replaced the 16 stars run. After all, the 16 stars run is a glitched run and so is this one. A faster run is a faster run. By the same token, I wouldn't feel bad at all if there's a zero star run that obsolete this one. I've enjoyed all of the Mario 64 runs so far -- still waiting for the all-coins run.

I vote no. To complete the game you have to get all four characters through all the levels. That's just not entertaining. Super Mario BRos 2 (usa version) is truly the better game.
Well, if all four characters does the same thing, then of course it will be boring. However, if each character doesn't something different (maybe even slightly different paths), then it can be entertaining. Imagine, even in SMB2(USA), the plays are different between Princess, Mario, Luigi and Toad. As long as there are enough differences between each character's run, I think Doki doki panic will be entertaining to watch.

BLJ in BoB = 6 really fast red coins. Try it yourself. Anyway, 70 star BLJless run in progress.
It's nice to see that you started the BLJless run. Are you going to finish the "all coins run" after this BLJless run ?

Thought a bit late since it's already published, I just want to cast my vote. Definitely voting YES for it. This running is amazing. As few others has noted, it's unexpected to see a 1-star run. BLJ rules!

Well, I did. I think what Fabian shown is the fatest way to get max lives in SMW. That is really what prompted me to post the question about "fastest way to get max lives" in games.

Thanks for that max point show! Yes, watching a max point TAS can be boring, mostly because it takes a long time to watch something that repeats. The entertainment factor is gone. However, I think watching a "max lives" TAS will be different, mostly because it will be short to watch. Although I want to see this for all SMB games, but this idea can apply to most (if not all) games. Of course, games that doesn't offer some quick way to get extra lives are not interesting to watch. I think a DEMO or concept TAS is ok. Not sure what others thinks.

I think there should be a category created on the TAS site for: fastest way to get the max 1-ups (or extra lives) (no need to finish the game) Sure, I am more interested to see that for all SMB games. But it can work for other games. What do you guys think?

I'm sorry. I had to vote no. I'm really impressed that you did this, and it's a very cool idea and it's great that you managed to actually complete it. But I couldn't watch for more than a minute. I can't concentrate on four Megamans moving at the same time, let alone notice how they're all moving identically. That and the music clashes really badly. It hurt my ears. My vote is not based on whether or not you did it well. You did it very well. My vote was based on how entertaining it is, and it doesn't entertain me if I get a headache watching for about 30 seconds.
I totally agree with Hyena. I, too, think it's a great accomplishment that you can do something like this. I can imagine all of the difficulty behind making this TAS, it's difficulty enough to make them sync. I love the megaman series, but I don't find this enjoyable or entertaining to watch. There are just too many things going on, they are just distractions. I prefer to watch each megaman runs separately. Great accomplishment, but I will give it a NO vote.

I have been following this CCC run from the start, I didn't expect it to be finished yet. I guess it's debatable on whether this run should be a "concept/demo" or not. To me, it doesn't make too much difference between "aims for fastest completion time" vs "aims to collect every Coinless-Cannonless-Capless star". I understand all the arguments behind each side, so no need to repeat it. It's just my opinon. In the end, it all comes down to whether it's an entertaining run or not. I like this run, it's fun to see how some stars can be obtained without touching any coins -- especially the start inside the pyramid where normally one must collect some coins. Voting YES for it.

Awesome run! Voted yes! I followed the frequently released WIP closely. As many others have pointed out, this run is done fast in a short time. I see many improvements over FODA's run. Camera angle is the only minor complain I have on this run. Excellent job Rikku!

Amazing run! Voted YES! I like the way you beat bowser the third time, I didn't know that you can throw him again without much waiting. Excellent work!

Judging from the video, this game looks like a neat puzzle game. Anyone know how many levels this game have?

Kyrsimys: Not at all. I just think that a AVI is much more simple and handy to watch than a smv. But ok, if you all really want the smv that much, here it is: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3771/Saturn_-_SMR_TAS_-_almost_at_HJ-Boots.smv
It's true that posting the WIP videos at youtube is helpful for those that doesn't have an emulator to watch it. I am with Kyrsimys on this. Personally, I like to watch the smv file. It's small in size and it's as-clear-as-you-can-get to watch. So, please continue to release smv files if you decide to show WIPs.

Keyjumping across lava is awesome. I did some of that when I played Acryte's "near impossible" hack over at SDA for fun. Not at home currently, but I'll take a look at what you've done when I get home tonight mrz.
Can you please post the last version of Acryte's hack ? (I got the first few versions, but I didn't get a chance download the last one. The yousendit link expired) Thanks!

I didn't know that you can flyer upside-down. Nice demo! How did you get Mario to fly like that? Any chance that you can provide a m64 file for the flying upside-down demo? I am enjoying all of the M64 WIPs so far. Thanks FODA!
