Wow, this is one of the best things I've seen in a long time. Congrats to all the people that worked on this! Yes vote of course.

I have actually been thinking to start TASing this game for a while, so maybe I'll give a shot to those new TAS competitions that will come. I guess this first one is still to hard for me though.

Watched it all. Yes vote. I used to play this game when I was a child so I'm glad this TAS was done. Nice stuff done here.

I finally found the problem with my avisynth so I'll be doing the youtube encode as I did in the previous publication.

In the end I wont be able to do the youtube encode, so yeah, we need an encoder for that. I'd still want to have the youtube video uploaded to my channel though (ALAKTORN probably too, but he had problems in the past at uploading them).

I'm currently working on the downloadable encodes.
Don't do it yet because as ALAKTORN said we're working on an improvement of 2-4 frames. We're almost finished it so I'll be uploading a new .dsm soon. Sorry if you have already started with those encodes. Edit: 12 frames improved. 2 frames saved on Goomboss, and 10 frames on first Bunny Glitch (due to a new glitch angle, I improved 10 frames on the swimming part.) New .dsm: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/588561979/TASSuperMario64DSnew.dsm I need someone to update the submission with this .dsm, please.

I had it disabled, but it's still not syncing. What's the MD5 or SHA1 hash of the correct rom?
Oh okay, you also need to make sure its USA v1.0 version. TAS will not work with v1.1

Doesn't sync for me at all. Yoshi jumps into the moat and swims at the wall like an idiot.
DeSmuME 0.9.7 with Advanced Bus-Level Timing OFF. It is important that you have the Advanced Bus-Level Timing OFF. It was ON in our previous publication but we decided to set it OFF this time.

I will try to make the youtube encode as I did in the previous publication, however I'm currently having problems with Avisynth so if I see that I can't make it work I'll let other person to do the encode. Also the description will probably have some modifications, I was the one writing it and I'm not that good at english so probably I'll be correcting mistakes if I find them, but that's mostly it.

Link to video New BitS with 2 new skips. However at 0:28 I haven't been able to find a decent strat for that stair positioning. I can't even be sure if its possible to do something really fast though. And just after posting this, with the help of ALAKTORN I found a new strat after the first skip that might save more time. Now only the ending is left to be improved (hopefully we are able to). Edit: 33"93 is the new improvement Edit 2: New strat at the end + Ending improvement: 33"67 Link to video I'm happy with this now.

We succeed at searching for improvements. We're changing the last part of BitS. In the moving platform part, there's a place where in SM64 they do a triple jump, then WallKick and they are able to reach the top part. In SM64DS it's not possible to do a triple jump there but the top part is reachable with a SlideKick+WallKick, wasn't easy to find because you must be at the edge of the platform and Slidekick must be accurate.

We're almost done now. We already have a finished .dsm but we're still testing if some frames could still be saved. When we finish doing that we'll probably submit it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XIEaU5j1JI We still want to glitch next to the 8 star door, not here, but we don't still know if it's possible though.

Make sure you're using the v1.0 ROM on DeSmuME 0.9.7 with Advanced Bus-Level Timing OFF. We had Advanced Bus-Level Timing ON for our previous TAS but setting it OFF causes less lag.
The lag frames shouldn't be taken as an "improvement", otherwise, anyone could've obesoleted your previous run just by turning Advanced Bus-Level Timing OFF. =P
Obviously, I never said that. But since we're trying to improve our TAS with a new strat we just decided to set that off since both settings are accepted by the site.

It desyncs on both the v1.0 and v1.1 ROMs. It looks like the input for Yoshi's first long jump is pressed too early.

Okay. Actually I started to upload already since it takes about 2 days for me to upload a 2GB file to youtube, so I want to know if I should cancel it and wait for yours or letting it being finished and see if it's good. (My video is HD like TLG planned to do)
Does your encode have an encoding logo (the intro that says "The home page for this tool-assisted speedrun is HTTP://TASVIDEOS.ORG") and information subtitles during gameplay? If so, then go for it. If not, then you should either make them, or leave it to me.
Yeah, it does. 2 secs of logo at the intro with the HTTP://TASVIDEOS.ORG and then the subtitles just a bit after yoshi starts long jumping. I think everything else is good (the encoding stuff) so I'll keep uploading it. Thanks!

Since ALAKTORN and me haven't received any news from a HD encoding yet, I want to ask if I could try doing it myself. If things go right, I will be able to finish the youtube upload tomorrow. If there isn't any incovenience, I will leave the Youtube link as unclassified, and I'd like to know people's opinion about the encode, so that if it is good, it could end up being the movie for the publication, and I'd be giving the file to ALAKTORN as well.
I've contacted TLG, and looks like I'll do the YT encode.

I am still clueless about what suggested screen should I upload. I took some to see if you guys like any of them: Maybe ALAKTORN wants to suggest another ones after, I don't know.
