Well, if by favorite, I will count the music I like to listen to outside of the actual game, then it's a lot of tracks from Chrono Trigger and FF6, in no particular order. Those are hard to beat in terms of good music.
On PC, let me name Diablo (hardly an RPG, but why not).
I mean, if you have a rush soul (or any other, for that matter) already equipped, you can easily avoid the lock by using the soul on the first (or so) frame upon landing.
What about doing it on a miniboss? There are lots of those in Contra III, and you have to kill each one of them, anyway. That would cut quite an amount of time off the pacifist run.
Apparently, certain souls that cancel Soma's current animation or drive him into [semi-]uncontrollable state (Manticore, for example) can be used to cancel the fall-from-great-height daze.
Dragondarch seems to have used that in his NG+ speedrun, just before the first chat with Graham. Zurreco pointed out the lack of the daze so we analyzed the reason and came to this conclusion. More unneeded text here. Also, cocks.
This improvement was long overdue, and I thank you for delivering it in such a fast and asskickingly awesome way. :)
Excellent run on all accounts. Yes vote!
Download this archive. Everything should work.
Regarding demos and other stuff, I'll try to incorporate everything in the next update. Hopefully this week — that is, if I won't get melted by the heat. :\
Hahaha, the world is quite small.
Distributing gold/experience was one of my main concerns regarding the full run as well as the battles, although if you say it could be done in around 10 minutes overall, that's not that bad. There are Dragon Warrior TASes here, after all, and those are quite longer than 10 minutes.
75%?
I'm actually more interested in the figures for B and C.
My, Chamale was quite imprudent when he used that as an argument. :P
(But then again, it's his typical quality…)
People who like the game and eager to see any run for it will most likely vote yes regardless of any other factors.
People who like a run and appreciate it in its entirety will definitely vote yes.
People who like a run but know nothing whether it is good technically will likely vote yes.
People who don't really like the run but appreciate the effort most of the time vote yes.
People who don't like the run may abstain from voting.
People who don't know/like the game will most likely not even watch it.
That's why non-yes votes are always more representative than the otherwise, especially when it comes to popular games, since their fame/popularity already tends to initially tilt people's impression towards a positive vote.
You can get it from The Firemen submission. It was the one I altered. If you try saving it with TAS Movie Editor, it will somehow desync in the last 500-600 frames.
