It's indeed a different run, more traditional because of the cross being used, but I wonder if this game can be pushed any farther? I don't think it's necessary to vote since it is being published but I'm going to anyway.
One major possible improvement I discussed with Morrison in IRC was trying to somehow cut the waiting time near the platforms in stage 10. I guess, currently we can't tell for sure if it is or isn't possible, but if it is, it would cut the game time to sub-11:30 at least.

BTW, will this run going to have this "luck abuse that is nearly impossible to duplicate, etc." line? Cause if it will, that would be for the third time already (talking about impossibility, yeah). :D

I was watching Morrison's WIPs, and I can say this run deserves everything good one could say about it. Awesome improvement, man.

Erokky's ALTTP WIP has almost 1.5x the amount of re-records per frame. Yes, you read that correctly.
Flagitious's Umihara Kawase run has approx. 5.5 rerecords/frame. It's much shorter, though.

I have a big collection of both bitpop albums and separate chiptune tracks. Not that I like most of them, but some are really good.

Does anybody know, if one of these artists or any other chiptune musician can be seen in Germany/ Central Europe?

Not yet, I guess. His personal page says he's searching for his motivation.

Can someone convert Saturn's run to an avi? I've tried watching it with several different versions of the game and none of them work.
It should work with versions 1.6 and onward, headered.

Is it just me, or the amount of lag in this game is a bit too high? :\ I can't say I am really entertained by such a run. On the other hand, I wasn't bored by it, either, and it seems very well planned and stuff. I guess it's a weak yes from me.

I like Deliverance the most. BTW, have you owned an Atari ST or something like that? I'd like some recommendations on its music. %)

I would perfer a focus on TASing new games, rather than going for that 5% improvement on existing good runs. Most of these runs are just a tad bit more optimized and are not really any more enjoyable then the movie they replace.
Not always true. Most of the time, improvements [as big as] 5% come from the increased precision or some new tricks, and generally are more fascinating to watch. That becomes especially apparent with games that have somewhat complex movement systems, like Umihara Kawase, Sonic series, Metroid series (well, except NES Metroid), GBA Castlevania series and the like. Even small overall improvement looks different enough. Personally, I'd rather see runs of the games I like and am familiar with done better and better, than see a lot of probably good (as I can't always judge the quality of a run of a game unknown to me) runs of the games that would not appeal to me.

He started recording it on an earlier version, hence the mismatch. Nice Spore Spawn battle, Saturn. Now that you have the walljump boots, some real feats begin. :)

I don't like the taste of beer, either, though I can enjoy it if I mix the good emotions in. That said, I only occasionally drink if I go somewhere with my friends or if I want to make some experiments on my organism (e.g. "how much alcohol can I drink until I throw up" or "what happens if I drink prior to smoking Salvia divinorum", or something like that). I generally prefer light beer, and as cold as possible. I also hate vodka. My "favourite" drinks are cream liquor, preferrably Carolans (taste-wise), and absinthe (effect-wise). Also, as a matter of fact, I'm one of those people who don't get drunk no matter how much they drink, regarding the consciousness state — at most, I just get intoxicated, throw up and feel myself better immediately after that (that is, the alcohol almost exclusively affects my physic state, and all the psychic effects are derived directly from it).

At that time, I was obsessed with swords. The other turtles' weapons seemed rather lousy compared to dual katanas.

Leonardo from TMNT probably was my favourite character when I was a kid. Haven't had any notable favourites since then, I guess…

Most of them are easy to answer just using logic, but I agree that there's no place for specific knowledge in an IQ test.

I have a habit to spend hundreds of rerecords on certain bits several frames long, so that 20 to 50 rerecords/frame could be a usual ratio for those bits alone. This habit actually stops me from finishing any of the projects I've started at one point or another. :P
