The torches on his way up the elevator, specifically. He has to move, attack, collect, and move back.
The elevator has a period of latency of about the same length as PS's whole maneuver. I doubt he lost any frames at all, given the fact he actually regained some spell points for soul use.

As for the enemies bit, I'd have to have someone instruct me on how to identify the current frame and watch it so I could identify the specific occurances.
Open up the Tools menu in VBA, and you'll see a frame counter there.

Like where?

Do we really need this many GBA Castlevania movies? I can't really even tell the difference…
Yeah right, all these Castlevania movies are the same! All of them have some good guy that must defeat a dracula of some sort. How utterly pathetic and uninventive! Wait, they even share the same musical themes, that's a plagiarism! Did I mention they have the same word, "Castlevania", in their name? That's a plagiarism, too! :B But if you look at them without fastforwarding, you'll see they have more variety than a whole bunch of Donkey Kong Country runs which are all published whatsoever. ;)

But wait, she won over with $17832! A whole lot of money even for a monopolist! :D

Well I guess you're right, but it wasn't only about the admins, as several players themselves was itchy about the "TAS vs. the speedrunners" affair (and apparently, some of them even quit running more or less because of that).

Seems like that goofy trick could be used in other places though.
Indeed, it could. I thought of something like that when I saw jump extend techniques on m2k2, but never actually felt motivated enough to experiment with them myself. By the way, look at the topic itself: there is a whole drama out of it all. :| I really don't get the recent situation around m2k2 with all those people leaving the forums at all.

Why won't you use DeHackEd's Micro-uploader? Rapidshare is a bitch for a routed internet access, I can't even touch the file until someone from my LAN finishes downloading.

I for one do not know what "kago" is, so that name is very uninformative
IIRC, Kago is the name of that spore hive in Crateria, near the green Brinstar elevator. Michael used this tech on it first, hence the name (or at least that's how I think of it). BTW, thanks for the info Graveworm. :)

Just as another strike against just as another strike, this video played back perfectly on MPC 6.4.9.0 and K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.50. I don't know, maybe MP4 loves me more than you lol. ‰)

They mustn't actually, cause you use the same encoding options in both cases. It's all about compatibility and/or versatility. But we can use AAC soundracks with MP4, which may reduce file size without reducing the quality, IMO.

Mr. Boat is right, actually. AVI is deprecated, and MP4 is a standard to replace AVI completely. OGM and MKV are the alternatives.

I like it, but it requires some more work, IMO. I've beat this game up pretty well about ten years ago. Too bad I don't remember a thing (except that the scythe charge-up is damn powerful). :)

Bahahaha, that was hilarious! You kinda broke the sound (sound? More like graphic) barrier with that ridiculous boosting on the last two stages. This run deserved a star pretty badly, I'm glad it eventually achieved it. :)

Praise you guys, I haven't ever realised there are SO MANY tricks possible in this game. By the way JXQ, don't forget to add kagoball/waterball to the morphball tricks section (I've never been able to figure out why the waterball actually works; apparently, I didn't try to).

Totally wicked stuff. o_0 It was fast even at the 85% speed. I'm afraid to think what could be the improvement if there was a published 100% run.

Yeah, that's what I thought it was, too. Still, I want to be sure. :D catnap222: any% run would probably be faster to make. On the other hand, it'll involve some serious route planning, which is already done for a 100% run. It's up to you to decide, though.
