Looking at the image of 4-2 above, why isn't it possible to enter the stairs like a wall or a ledge and run directly through to the world 8 pipe, no fall-through-the-floor PAL-only glitch needed? Even if you do need to load the warp zones by walking a certain distance to the right, seems like it would still be a bit faster if you could just walk through the stairs to the area with the 3 pipes.
The stairs are simply too much of an obstruction. You jump at a greater than 45 degree angle, so you will either jump too early or hit the side of a lower block.

Ah, I had a little bit of a WIP going myself, but I imagined others were working on this already.

I managed to get 121 frames ahead at the first level. I wish you luck; I got stuck trying to remove lag frames at the 2nd level and ended up demotivated.
Ah, my mistake, we were comparing to your movie and not foda's. We're 126 ahead of the published movie after 1-1. [tons of edits] Fixed comparison inconsistancies.

Huh... I got an in-game time of 3:46:37, isn't that faster than the video on the right? Or are there inconsistancies between real-time and IGT?

I *just* finished mine, looks like it's just in time, you can end input as early as possible while still reaching "The End", right?

Is it only one person per movie?

Even besides the weird category, the movie is rather suboptimal. Sections where you slow down on purpose are not very tightly optimised and the fast start isn't used. No vote.

I suddenly had this idea, but how possible is it to code a button to instantly jump to one of the controller's input anytime? Because then it would/may allow using super mario all stars + super mario world rom and "hopping" between levels of different mario games. I know the idea sounds kinda silly, but at least it would really stand out from other ACE playarounds. :P
Haha, I can just imagine playing Yoshi's Island 2 and then suddenly going to Contra or Castlevania or something.

This is getting old.
But why would you put time and effort into a run that is bound to be rejected?
But why wouldn't you?

Awesome improvement! I don't know how it can feel more ironed out and perfect from the last one, but somehow it does. Yes vote without a doubt.

Same here. I played it a while after the score hit 9999 and the bird just sat there, not accruing any more points.
The address for the 4th digit from the right is set to 10 (and the other 3 to 0) right as the crash happens, so it's technically 10000.
Hey, can you or someone please encode the last hundred points or so?
Here are the last 40, since I happened to have a savestate there. Link to video

Thus, short of obtaining arbitrary code execution, it is impossible to get the Big Boo Boss, any Koopa Kid, or Peach into the item box, under any circumstances, ever.
In the list he provided, he did not include PI4, so I'm genuinely curious now...

For android devices you need to set your clock to 13:37, or else the RNG will be off.

I managed to save 41 frames over this movie. Maybe more time could be saved, I didn't work on it for too long.

I know it's tough to do, but would an encode of the wips be a possibility? ;)

Can't miss out on any of those clips! It seems to work alright. Like learnfun/playfun, it at least plays and beats part of the game, even if not in the most efficient way.
