I'm pickier. In my point of view there's no reason to publish a 1 player timeattck of this game, since there really is no advantage on that (besides being easier to make the video). This movie is not far better than a non-tool assisted speedrun(see my humble 22 minutes attempt), and i dont think a 1 player can ever be without any major glitches. Ask Nach what he found about this game he has been using this game to test his emulators and he told me he found some interesting stuff. Even so, a 2 player timeattack will be infinitely better (and faster). I should vote "no", but i voted "meh", i know this is one vatchern's first timeattacks, but we have to vote for the movie here and what it adds to the site, which is, in my opinion, not much, sorry.

i didnt test getting the machine gun, sorry, you're right, it may be faster for the last boss (i dont know how many frames are lost by getting the machine gun, but i can test it now) took me 81 more frames to get to the last screen by getting the 40 ammo at the last door. i still have to kill a lot of enemies on this last screen and i only have 29 bullets left (machine gun), and 37 normal bullets oh it seems that geldra only shows up after i run out of bullets, let me test further... hmm weird, i got lucky on this submission, i'm trying with machine gun and he's having some unwanted behaviour, i'll just leave it as it is. (i have the machine gun, low on ammo, and he is appearing as i shoot my last bullet, but only at that part, not always, even with enemies on screen, they disappear, but still slower)

http://www.angelfire.com/ex/uobt/rollingthunder-foda.zip now it finishes area 7 in 7:34.5 minutes if i understood correctly, only 3 more areas to go. finished area 8 just now, that area is very big, the difficulty level is not human :S (its not on the file yet)

even if starting at pro it still requires to go through it twice, iirc.

i have finished area 2 and its a total of 950 frames faster than yours. but i think my area 1 is not perfect, i can shoot enemies before they shoot and i didnt do that. i will remake hmm on a second thought... i dont know hwo to improve it so i'll just leave it that way i have finished area 4 by 1305 frames faster. i do an impressive area 4 by walking on the right side of the screen after the falling part. finished area 5, its 1550 frames faster

hmmm it starts to look nice, this difficulty level is cool because of the bang-bang factor. did you know you can jump over bullets? its very usefull here, first section of hard difficulty, 350 frames faster than you did. jumping bullets was essential. http://www.angelfire.com/ex/uobt/rollingthunder-foda.zip

the password thing is a good idea, i think its the same case as for kickmaster. let me watch it now hmm you must record it at least from reset... even if inputing the password. but thats ok as its still under development ok i see you're doing much better. there are some minor mistakes that really bother, that is bumping into plataforms while jumping up and walking backwards for a few frames. i'm almost sure that can be fixed.

that was much better, but the time i got is faster (use frame count to know). you can continue from my run if you want. i think the way you took damage was better than mine, maybe
