- there are clear missing slashes on the second gravity ball and so on. i didnt notice missed slashes before that. - about the sliding, i think it was all perfectly used, i could see why he didnt slide when he didnt. - i liked the use of the momentum gained from going down hills to make big jumps forward. - the glitch in level 1 is nice :) indeed, no published movie performs such a graphical glitch O_o - personally, i would have hit the bombs in parachutes on the chopper level to brake the boringness i liked this movie very much, this is a hard game and he makes it look very easy. the only complaint goes to the bombs in parachutes part, but that doesnt mean its a no. i'm voting YES.

neofix meant: "Indeed, before the last boss i let go 2 slashes. But please understand that as a victory pose, my own special way of celebrating the victory. There inst really much to do on that part and i didnt want to just stand there doing nothing."

if the damage makes obviously noticeable time saving, yes if the damage makes the watcher think "duh he took damage, and i dont see why, must be a mistake" then no.

i'm encoding a video for the castle of illusion run, i've got the quality to be satisfatory with the final video being 150 mb big, but sometimes during playback the image freezes or starts to choke whil the audio continues normally, and then 3 or 4 seconds later the video (now delayed) skips to where the sound currently is (which is where it should be if it werent for the earlier freezing/ delay). i've tried several things to fix it, some faqs say that the player needs to be set to not use overlaying, and turning it off on windows media player really made the freezing to occur not that often, but it still happens about 6 times during the 19 minutes long movie. the frames that seem to be lost are actually there, if i scroll the video i might get lucky that it wont freeze on the same moment that had previously frozen. my settings in virtuadub are pretty much the same as in the avi making guide from this site, the difference being that i encoded the audio along with the video all in virtuadub (i didnt use lame or nandub). the audio is set to interleave every 60 frames, using a vbr mp3 encoding. i've tried doing a single pass encode for the video and 2 pass encoding, but both showed the same problem. a video of 210 mb also had the same problem. i dont know if it can be fixed, or what is the problem, the quality is good enough, the video would be done processing if it werent for that issue... can aybody help? PS.: btw, i added the info at start, i cut the 2 seconds of the raw captured video (those 2 seconds had no sound at all) and put 1 second of advertising this site and 1 second of the run statistics, the only thing that was lost on the 2 seconds that were cut is the SEGA logo and black screens.

yea, i'm very glad you enjoyed the video!!! that's what keeps me making the videos! about the issues: yea jumping a frame later could fix it, but it would be really 1 frame only, because the diamond hits mickey after he went down 1 pixel. about the jumping through the right side of the plataform, it wouldnt make a difference, as i had to wait for the armored man to throw the spiked ball. By going through the right side i stepped on the spiked ball in a hurry, which is harder than going through the left and waiting for him to throw it, or trying to jump on the other plataform on the upper left. i'm currently working on a video for this game, if its alright with bisqwit, i want to start seeding it after i'm done. i tried xvid it 100 mb looked horrid... i'll have to raise the quality, but i'll be hosting it, so i dont care :)

hey it indeed looks great, gj! - you are recording 3 buttons controllers, isnt it better to always record at 6 (so people dont have to reconfigure gens?), maybe its not a problem at all, i dont know... - one thing i couldnt figure out is why is it that sometimes you stop walking (it seems to be that you are charging a shot right after jumping). its a sudden stop, cant it be avoided? you seem to use a lot of shots without slowing down at all, but sometimes theres those sudden stops...

unless its a big advantage to make the runs on a xbox which would make a lot of submissions be clearly better to be made in xbox, i dont think it would be acceptable for video processing reasons. the video processing and submission voting systems need to be as "automated" as possible, and such variations in movie formats doesnt make things easier

i agree with the chosen difficulty setting, avoiding repetitiveness is a good thing. as long as you dont go to options and choose "easy mode" it's just fine (this way the watcher might not even know there's a difficulty setting)

that's why he made the comment congratulating the publishing of the movie, but i dont think that word exists, it should be something like this: "about time this was accepted for publishing, watched this again and still loved it"

hmm this can be a problem to the submissions system, it really shouldnt be used for that as it confuses the judges, can't you ask someone to host it for you?
