What game characteristic makes it a best choice for making a good timeattack movie? speed? difficulty? complexity? popularity? "ramdomness"? variety? use of glitches/secrets?

IMO this game has great potential for a timattack, because of it's terrible controlling, imagine watching bart run through those enemies and doing the objectives without getting hit that would be quite amusing :D

yes, i just tested it and if you make the bike do a second little jump that jump is at a slower speed, so you MUST land on both wheels. same goes for ramps, you must land on both wheels on ramps

a) The landing is a little tricky. When you land the first time your bike jumps a little bit. So you have to _land_ again. There you made a mistake. Your second landing was on the both wheels and that isn't smooth at all. Try to land both times on the first wheel.
???? i always thought you MUST land on both wheels always, or else you lose speed, has the world turned up side down? :)

This game is a classic for people who played it back then. It can be done in less than 10 mins i'm pretty sure, but there's nothing incredible to do on it, it would be pure timeattack (unless you kill all enemies before they appear on screen, kinf of guessing where they appear). The music is good and it'd be so quick that it wouldn't be boring to watch ;)

Does this game have an ending? the farthest i can get is somewhere on the 25ish level or 26 max. the game gets madly hard after 23.

i think it's 99 levels long (you can select level to start if you press a certain button when the level number appears on screen)

what about a gauntlet one using the password? i think that just beating the game is pretty interesting enough for many people to watch, since i think that this game being beatable is nothing but a lie haha joking. :) it would be cool to watch tho

Watching the video i found out that the american version is diff from the jap one. the 3rd level is harder on the jap version (has more golden blocks) and the level 32 is different and there's no level 33, it's straight to the fight with doh. it would be faster to finish the jap version i guess. since on the amercian version it goes to level 36.

hmm where exactly? i have always played it starting on 2 player mode (to kill the 2nd player and finish the game with max lives, i was just used to it, don't ask me why hehehe) and i realized i don't need to do it so i played as 1 player mode, but i didn't notice any difference? is it because after i killed the second player the amount of enemies dropped to 1 player mode?

I found it quite normal, despite the super rapid-fire feature, the only thing he did that was fancy was the jump over the fire out of the cracked pipe. i think it would be much more interesting to watch if he dodged enemies and bullets instead of shooting spread every directions...

hmm do u set both controllers to your keyboard, separate keys for each? cause on some emulators you can set the same key to do many things, i've played a couple of games like that and it's funny sometimes too (on zsnes or mame32), so both characters move exactly the same way, and there's a lot more enemies, not the case of double dragon 2 though.

Does anybody play it? When they say "kung fu" i thought they meant ye ar kung fu, but unfortunately it's that other floors game :P Is it only me or when you get to level 87 the game crashes? it happened to me twice... Don't you wish there was a long bonus level? :) 10 hits is too short, i end up having fun with hitting the items the regular enemies throw, it's fun

There is no such thing as "cheating" in games. I feel you should be able to use any option in a game or system. Cowardly as it is, if you feel the need to neuter the games you play, perhaps if you feel threatened by them, its fine by me. I'm astonished though, that you people are not ashamed to publicly display your immasculated, time-a-hack vidoes. I personally love making videos to record my accomplishments. Perhaps I'm brave, but I only record my play on actual consoles with my DVD recorder. I prefer adult games such as Golden Eye 64 and Halo over games that were designed for children in the 1980's. When doing this I turn up difficulty levels to give the computer the advange. My videos capture a fearless master overcoming incredible odds. Using features many people consider "cheating," such as "slow down" and "resave," pulls the teeth out of the game's jaws. I love the discussions in these forums. I look forward writing more! -PointPlayer

"sdkess7," I enjoy time attacks. I enjoy making them, and I enjoy watching them. I also enjoy watching "unenhanced," for lack of a better term, speed runs like those Metroid movies. But I don't enjoy the idea that time attacks are cheating. Cheating only has negative connotations: (noun): Someone who leads you to believe something that is not true (noun): The act of swindling by some fraudulent scheme (noun): A deception for profit to yourself (verb): Deprive somebody of something by deceit (verb): Defeat someone in an expectation through trickery or deceit (verb): Engage in deceitful behavior; practice trickery or fraud If you came here to defend yourself from comments that offended you, fine. But you took time out to tell us that we're viewed as "cheaters" by "serious gamers." And the comparison between yourself and a professional athlete is illogical. Derek Jeter is serious about baseball because he is paid $18 million a year to play it. I know professional video gamers exist, but they're not playing NES. They're competing in international tournaments, earning a living.
