The game is very bad to TAS. It was a cool game for me when Robocop was cool, but I think the music is the only thing that keeps me remembering this game exists. Tada tada, da. Tada tada. Tada tada, da, da.... da.

Shinobi goes to Hollywood!! Rambo, Terminator, Spider-man, Batman, Godzilla, ninjas, kung fu fighters and armies. This game has it all. The run itself was nicely executed, and good improvement Yes vote

Oh yeah, inside the truck you can hit the wall after the level is done without having to wait for the automatic slow A move. I don't remember if it's been used though, just pointing it out.

just curiosity: Someone has confirmed that the bath scene is in the USA version too, all you have to do is gameshark your way inside that room. It's on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD8xKErGhyA

I have recently bought this game for virtual console and have been playing it a lot. Still can't beat it on mania level, even with 9 lives... anyway, I found 2 bugs 1 - when you beat a level, your character is frozen. not exactly, you can hold B and then release it, and he'll do a move. it can be used to show off, or destroy a barrel on the last moment, in some levels. 2 - sometimes you can get hit but use the special move with A at the same time, and then only after you're done with the attack animation you'll take damage! in a weird way. It even works with enemy throws. I was wondering if this could be used to beat a boss and then die during the "stage completed" message and maybe lose the last life there for a game over. Wonder if anything weird happens.

That guy is playing dumb. I mean, "NES Scumm" how come he didn't get it? Nintendo was trying to make products that don't contain bad things, it's a valid policy when you're talking about something for kids.

Toribash has been updated to version 3.1, now it supports shaders, mods, and the online mode is much more robust with acquirable visual upgrades and such http://www.toribash.com/

That earthbound song was nice, but very retarded. Try SotN's Lost Painting That song is just awesome, and I feel something bogus when I listen to it...

awesome! I liked the end of the 4th (I think) where you manage to wreck after the race is won.
I haven't watch it, but didn't the previous movies do that? I know mine did

I thought about trying to see if the game was improveable, but despite my lack of free time to do so, I doubt I'd do as well as JXQ. Superb job, and this is not "minor improvement". Yes vote!

I'm not sure why, but there was nothing different when watching a movie I recorded in the windows version of this emulator. It just played like a normal TAS would. Is there any setting I need to adjust?

Man, are you human??? You made a movie like 10 people were working on smb1 :) The motorbike on the helicopter level was clever, but the glitches in the last level are insane, how did you find that? hats off to you! Ok, on the last level, right after your first use of the bike, when you deactivate it, couldn't you have done a crouching punch and passed through the block and keep the momentum, instead of getting up to a total stop? Also, at the first rubber blocks part, couldn't you cut directly to the right? Oh, and when you use the bike on the helicopter level, couldn't you keep it a little longer on the first use? Otherwise, there may be a better route on the castle, but not by more than 1 or 2 screens, for what I could notice. Oh and did you try to get out of the map boundaries?

How did you find that glitch? Anyway, gotta watch it now. Sad to see one of my movies obsoleted, but happy at the same time for the improvement :) congrats. brb

big amelica! gambling! heh, this wasn't bad to watch, but I think it should end the movie later so the viewer doesn't have to press start after the movie ends.

I'm a fan of beat em ups, and this was a killer run :) Funny, smart ideas to speed it up (yeah: suicide) and surprising moments. I also wanted to see it to the end, but it is good enough for a big yes vote from me!

I use simple USB adaptor for using a psone analog controller, and it's perfect, except for the controller's own design problems.

I think you ppl have WAAAY too much time in your hands. Stop talking nonsense and do more TASes that are fun for yourself. You can't please everybody.

What he did is quite different but pretty darn cool. You get a video showing all loaded states. I wish I could try it with other games but I'm not on a pc :(

IMO, it is the best game :) j/k, only one game can be the best game, and that is SMB3. About the movie, I can't watch it. But I read all the comments and I'm impressed, this game really deserves such dedication! About the 1st boss glitch, I vaguely remember something about that, dunno... I'd have to search in the forum's obscurity to confirm if I did find that or not. I guess this submission is a win/win situation, good improvement, good game... I'd like to see it published.

So this is where upa comes from... I can't watch it, but the images look nice. From the comments, I suppose this is another TAS for people who are familiar with the game, and not for the general audience. I still think there should be a separate section on the site for movies where this is the main cause for rejection -_- (not saying this will be rejected, just brainstorming)
