I found xenotactics graphics to be confusing at first, the main reason I didn't give it a second chance.

I lose at level 42 on hard. We're missing something (I don't do juggling).

Do you mean, squirt tower? Most of the level 10 group got past. I believe you're wrong.
yeah, some of level 10 group passes, but that's it. Easy goes to level 30 only.

AKA, that video was very interesting. Did you do anything to keep repeatedly getting up and down the same step? Or did that happen because you were perfectly aligned with the step angle? In either case, perhaps this could be done on the small step that is underwater in front of HMC entrance, if you can keep pushing against the wall.

I don't know how the scoring works, but we're far from finding out. The record is 18 million.

7,740,796 on first map of vector TD. :) notice how much money I had left at the end: $ 1,758,322 (the most expensive turret costs $ 2,800) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v687/UoBtEx_FODA/vectortd-foda-7740796.png

For some reason I didn't like xenotactic... But I loved desktop TD, I just can't get past the hard level (max stage 42), and some other challenges either.. Also, I liked vector TD: http://www.candystand.com/play.do?id=18047

I'm playing desktop TD right now, and I love TD games... I played them a lot on age of empires 2 (TD games are famous on RTS custom scenarios).

Would this tool make it possible to analyze the basement for invisible ceilings and the like?
Probably, I would check it out but I'm kinda busy ATM. Someone with a bit of free time should try it.

Amazing post :) Thank you very much. You described this TAS pretty well. If the viewer knows the game as well as we do, it gets really tense with all the bullet dodging and jumping. I think this TAS has a great rhythm also. I always try to make TASes of games I like, and I try to make it as nice to watch as I can. I don't care if not everyone will like it, but it's thinking of people like you that I make the videos. I have evidently thought about making rolling thunder 2 or 3 for genesis in 2 player mode (whichever is simultaneous, I forgot), but that was just a thought.

It can only be proved that it works if we get it to work. It can't be proved to be a hoax unless he says "Heyy I was lying and fooled you all"

I haven't tried yet, but I'll do as soon as I finish playing here :) edit: Ok, they use the glitch on the TAS, on the first level already you can see it.

hummmm okkkk So I was just playing this game on Wii's Virtual Console, and I'm at stage B-2 climbing those falling stairs with the giant metal wheel trying to catch me, and I came to the 2nd stone golem when I was on the stairs and suddenly Simon zipped to the right (his head was stuck on the floor), and I could just freely control which direction he was zipping to, with acceleration. Then he died. Just for the record, I don't know if the TAS uses any of this, but I felt like posting before I forgot it ever happened. Also, I don't know if it's a VC especific bug or anything.

This is by far the best hack I've ever seen. I'd like to see a TAS of it when it's finished.

So far, so good. Impressive. Not a request, but just for the record, an information pop up could come in handy after picking a movie file, or when creating a movie file, showing the header info in comprehensive format. The rest is working great so far. I've tested every new feature.

Ok, my first testrun is 13:51 minutes long, here it is: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1658923486/alexkiddmw-foda-testrun1.mmv warning: for alex kidd enthusiasts only, as a TAS it isn't much impressive yet, I'd just like suggestion on route, or if I missed anything major. - The whole money issue needs to be thought out. I think I won't really have to get out of the fastest path on each level for money, except on level 1 though.... - That helicopter level where I fly to get money, I'll just fall on the water as fast as possible next time. - in the blue castle, there's a flame I have to wait, I guess I'll do like the speedrun and buy an invincibility power up... or not, I'll have to test and see if it's worth it.

I wasn't aware of the replay button on the pitch test either.
