it's a glitch because in mario 64 for Wii's virtual console they have fixed that. edit: really, jweb guru? I could swear i read somewhere that it was fixed.

glitchless is relative. you need to specify which glitch you don't want.

mupen64 doesn't emulate all games very well (or at all)

Contra + Double Dragon 2. With 2 players. The current TASes are both a little under 10 minutes. I'm trying to imagine how this would look. Billy and Bimmy are walking along, occasionally kicking air for no reason. Red-pants contra guy stops and jumps to the left while firing a single bullet at nothing. Both contra guys aim upward for awhile... Edit: I need to learn to write faster.

kinda hard since contra is "go right" while DD2 isn't. It's easier to see contra + smb1

Using the torch makes the movie more "whoa!". Keep it up.

Haven't watched it either, but it's a novelty as the cheats arkanoid run. It only shows the fastest possible completion without changing the game.

it justifies because he's not wasting any of HIS time to think about camera angles. he's only thinking about speed. the camera angle is whatever he used to get the fastest time.

actually the quality rating is pretty low. that gives me the impression that the movie is sloppy and badly planned (highly improveable). I'd like to see it being highly improved.

HMC was truly inventive, congrats. The camera complaint has really gotten very small compared to the improvement, but it's still a complaint I have (not picking the stationary camera). But no need to argue on that anymore, rikku's run aims for speed only.

why don't you replace the movie file and reencode with the title screen glitch?

Like you said, it's the author's choice. If he makes a movie aiming for fastest time, it's ok. I'm just wondering what would happen if i submit a more entertaining movie 1 second slower.

I think you are heavily contradicting yourself by saying this. If this is true, then you would not have submitted your recent Alex Kidd run and other runs.
I fixed the problems with the speed part, but If there were speed for entertainment trades I'd keep them. The fixes rikku is doing to the speed side of this run are great, but I don't agree to NOT think about entertainment at all! he's going mathematically trying to take frames. There's a run for that and it's the "aims for fastest completion" one. This is the "aims for fastest completion, but hey let's take all stars because it's fun!". In this sense, I think he shouldn't be so strict and spend 3 frames to take a fixed camera for example.

It didn't waste time either. So it's not a matter of time.

Ok, I didn't configure much of anything in the emulator, and I've tried these games: Soul Calibur Gauntlet Legends Daytona USA They all work with minor glitches. Soul Calibur was not at full speed. I have a pentium IV at 3.0 Ghz, geforce fx5200 agp 8x 256mb card and 1gb RAM.

it needs a better relation between the drawing and the text.
