You guys might be interested in this website here: http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ It has secrets, posted anonymously by people all over the world. Some secrets are pretty horrific, and I find this site to be fascinating. It also helped me to get out of a spot of depression I had a while back. Anyway just check it out, it's inspiring.
Had visited that before, didn't give much credit to the veracity of the phrases because the cards are so artistically worked. Maybe the site author remade them, or maybe he just made them all up.

I worry so much about other people's opinions about me that it's just not healthy.

very interesting indeed, that has to be faster.

Most runs are underated on the technical aspect. Especially if the game is boring, people will just say it's not technically perfect...

Don't worry, that's perfectly understandable. If you're not too familiar with the game, there's not much to be seen on this run. The real highlights are: - getting really close to enemies (touch ANY enemy once and you will die and restart the level) - the vertical scrolling purple building stage - the extra speed that comes from the hopping bug on later levels. Glad you liked the jumps synced with the music. :)

Why don't you take more distance on "eel come ouy to play" star? take more distance and swim at the right moment so you have a little more speed when the star appears. When entering JRB i don't think that wall jump is a good idea. Is my red coin route really the fastest? try mr_robert_z's one.

1.50 really doesn't have a "read-only toggle" hotkey or am I a failure at finding it? Read-only saves so much time while TASing that it's practically required. Everything else looks great though. actually, - the on-screen messages should be updated even if the emulator is paused (picked savestate slot, save/load, speed changes, etc) - the current emulated speed should be shown when changed - and a read-only toggle hotkey would be good.

Finally got the time to finish this. I had tried to kill some enemies to manipulate the pizza battle, but at least on the first stage, the pacifist approach is really fast, so I decided to finish it on pacifist "mode". I've done hex-editing to start at the circus stage because I had missed a "III" there. Luckily, I didn't have to remake everything, just changing the input at that part to shoot and make it appear, and adjusting the jump length was enough to keep everything synced until the next pizza battle. Everything after that was remade. The submission is here

I've watched rikku's WIP and I must say there are many mistakes. The only thing that I didn't expect was you catching the red coin while the shell was still closed, so congrats on that. But you did some stylistic moves identical to mine which could have been made differently/faster. And this start of the movie is the most improveable... I must say that if 90% of the movie looks the same or with visible flaws, then I'll have to vote "no". You already have a great base material to start with so you don't need to study routes, etc. All you have to do is optimize, and still, you didn't do direct swimming, your swimming had timing mistakes, etc. I'm not trying to start a debate, please continue your run, I'm just trying to not give you any surprises on what I think of this improving run. And I don't decide whether a movie should be published or not, so it's not my call. Just try to notice more improveable areas, because you've skipped some.

It should be great because it seems to have AltTP-like gameplay, but with some new items/bosses.

There's a big difference between "slow" and "hoax". He explains that he got other stuff like going to the army (i think i read that somewhere).

I didn't notice it coming out faster. i think it's just that he took longer to get in position to wait. but there's a mistake there.

9 seconds sounds pretty good to me. I always thought that this was the weakest part of the run and definitely improveable. I'll watch whenever I get the chance, but I expect to see better swimming (as Maza stated), better Red coin pick-up and better eel baiting.
bingo i see a lot of mistakes, but good luck :P

I don't think it works because the plataform is too big and the coin is far from the ledge.

I believe he means sacrificing frames here and there to make the run unique. I don't see a problem with that, if it's mostly unnonticeable.

If you're going for speed, then it may have some value. But it's also gonna be insanely difficult, because even the hardest AI screws up sometimes, and you'd have to make him screw up all the time...

Yea, that cap can't, but you can do it without taking the coin in the lobby. And I'd label it as "doesn't hit any cap switch" instead of "doesn't use caps".

How exactly are the coins taken? on the first jump before attaching on the ground for the BLJ?

But they're coins... I think it shouldn't take any coins at all, even in the castle area. It's a coinless run.
