it worked for me. nice trick :) but since i have to wait instead of jumping in as fast as possible, this sounds like a risky maneuver (if it works it saves a little time indeed). I'll have to try and see if it can be consistently pulled off.

- Hmm, have you tried getting the jump at the end of Dizzy Race? what jump? - Tower Race was nice, is the dizzying at the end intentional? yes, i think it's faster - You don't use an easy timesaver in Up Race, worth about a second, I'll see if I still have the video... oh, very nice :D i've once managed to fall on the upper part of the elevators on that big loop, but i can't reproduce it, i have to fall on the lower floor and then take the elevator. but your way sure helps hehe - There was a shortcut at the end of Odd Race... you could jump down somewhere... i'd like to see it too - Toob Race... I don't remembet, after that 8-ball, are the tubes linked random? Because the other way way way simpler. it's ramdom, and i think the upper path is faster, because you have more room to move. i was just trying to be way too fast that's why i fell so many times there.. :( - Sky Race: Can you do the escape at the end every time? nope, that's rare :) i was inspired i guess hehe - Master Race was almost flawless. Congrats on that level alone thx!

I think it's a very funny image, i see nothing wrong with it having nonoe of those main characters. It still has main characters from many other games. Maybe that's part of a set of promotional images, and on this one they wanted to put the less known characters. I think it's very plausible because it's very well made.

I've been following the making of this movie closely, and he restarted many times to get this result. I think the best about this TAS is the pace. It's definitelly not slow, but it's not too fast either. You can follow pretty much everything that's going on. I think it's a worthy movie, yes vote.

I meant it's the best x-men game, period. Not the best to TAS. But since it is, as many people would say, the best x-men game, and the TAS is very precise, this would be good promotional material for the site.

JXQ: that's basic strategy that only works 75% of the time if you're playing someone who doesn't know that strategy. The real thing about the game is to predict the right number of turns you'll need to force control over it by doing that strategy, and drawing the map to force you to have that advantage.

I just did a speedrun of this, from start to end without aborting any race. - Normal Tournament (not mirror) - Frenzied! difficulty level (hardest) - control: optic mouse - final score: 401638 - broken balls: 11 - extra time left at the end of the master race: 39.1 seconds http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3513687033909538009

Well, then we'll have to wait until this game is released to the Genesis.

Call me jaded if you will but I managed to find over 20 seconds of wasted time in my first published Golden Axe movie even though it was described as having "no obvious [room for] improvements". Over 5% of that movie was wasted time and yet nobody said that a specific segement could have been done more efficiently. That isn't the only case where a "near-perfect" movie has been found to have significant room for improvement, either.
I'd be really suprised if rolling thunder had 2% possible improvement.. What also bothers me is the fact that people don't know the game but still vote on it. So they can't be impressed at what's shown because they don't understand the game's rules. One will argue that the movies should be enjoyed by everyone, but, on a little known game like this, the rating can confuse people who know the game well but haven't watched the video, and this way they will think twice before downloading the movie because of the bad rating. I'd suggest a 3rd rating: "familiarity level", to see how well the people voting on technical quality and entertaining value know the game. "Familiarity level: Rate from 0 to 10 how well you know this game"

I meant it on a countries vs countries level. The US totally ignores UN decisions when it's convenient to them. They agree when they want to. You can't just abandon defense, that'd be the same as saying "ok, let USA own the world and be the world police".

Donatello has discovered the 7th sense, and is now the ultimate ninja. There were boring parts, i think, due to repetitiveness, but there were funny parts too, and the whole degree of game domination is very good too. Yep

I wonder what's this topic doing on the "sega genesis games" forum and not the "other games" forum...

Already watched this, very well planned and executed. The best x-men game (imo), deserves this TAS. 2 thumbs up!
