Duke Nukem 64 (U)(!) (as stated by the emulator) Mupen 64 0.5.0 (alpha 4) video plugin: glN64 v0.4.1 RSP plugin: RSP emulation plugin the 2d text on screen was barely readable or not readable at all because it was all white. Actually most of the 2d stuff is all white. except some selected menu options that become what i think is the game's real color. And then during the game most of the 2d stuff such as the gun and hands are white or inverted color. The game itself looks right. the 3d looks perfect, textures are nice, enemies are working good. So it's jsut the things that are drawn directly on the screen layer that get messed up.

loading time differs from playstation to playstation and from cd to cd. it's far from being frame precise.

best ending? max level? i'll watch it now because i've never seen those things and the current run doesn't achieve that goal, which i think is better. edit: damn it's desyncing for me midway through the game... with various settings it still desyncs. i'm using knights of the round (J) but i agree with phil, for these games (this and king of dragons) we should wait for FBA to be acceptable.

hmmm i would take on this task.. i know the pc version from playing it 10 years ago, and i want to use my analog gamepad on a TAS, but i'm currently busy with 2 other projects. If when i'm done with those 2 projects, nobody has yet taken on this, i will. But if anyone else wants to do it first, no problem.

I have taken decisions to unclearly waste time to show tricks in many previous runs. I think that when it doesn't look like it could have been faster, it's a good opportunity to show tricks. I mean, it can be slower as long as it doesn't give that impression.

Wow, it's excelent, i can see some moves that weren't in the earlier version, like going up faster, killing the "eye with lasers" mini boss in the first level faster by shooting slower and some weird movement going up the wall that doesn't have any animation (the character look stopped in animation, but moves up). Yea, try to beat the 7 minute barrier hehe

Man.. you went through the whole game in less than 3 minutes, thats what i call a short game. It looked impressive. It seemed that you didn't move further to the right in the first level just because you couldn't see what was going on, is this true? or you did that as fast as possible?

Actually, i can't tell but it probably was in english... i've been spending a lot of time in front of the computer so there are days that i "speak" more english than portuguese, sometimes i catch myself "thinking" in enligsh. And it's annoying.

whoa damn!!! battletoads is easy, this game is inhuman!! how is anyone supposed to know what is going on in the basement level??? i found it impressive... that someone actually knows the path. It looks crazy.. It's cool how you save the little mermaid in the end. And i'm sure i've seen that face somewhere (the "hero", right after ariel shows up). Also, i vote for killing the boss as soon as possible, even if it means inputting 16 more frames. That's really how the length of the movie should be measured: the moment the last boss is hit. Because that's what defines the real movie length.

Like nintendo stated already, it's not a plataform to compete with ps3 / xbox360. It doesn't matter if people have ps3 / xbox360, they will want a nintendo revolution too. I think it's clever to wait a while so people can buy their ps3 and then launch revolution so they will have money again to buy the revolution (which will be "cheap" compared to the other 2)

Then it's buggy because when I tried to stomp on it, it was like he was not there, then i hit the ground and since we were both in the same place in the ground, i was hit. I'm not gonna discuss game design here, if you want to make a run for this hack i can't stop you. good luck.

I'm talking about the yellow shyguy found on the first level. And i'm just giving arguments to why this hack is not good.

the giant hammer bro look and acts exactly the same. it just doesnt accept stomping on his head. The shyguy has no spikes. Anyway, harmfull spikes are always HUGE. Small triangle spikes can't hurt. Even so, the shyguy has NO spikes at all, not even small ones.

shyguy doesn't have spikes on his head, and giant hammer bro was stompable on original mario 3 so he is saying shigeru miyamoto is wrong, he is a heretic.

thats not true, kyrsimys, i can't stomp on giant hammer bros (he deliberately changed that) and can't step on the shy guy either.

wow.. what can i say, its chrono trigger, it should have a short and a long movie and a medium size and a 100% and a worst ending and one for every ending! ehehe Seriously, it's clear that it doesn't start from a clean cartridge, anyone can see that, so it's not fooling anyone, i think this can be an exception to the rule. And although it doesn't show anything impressive, imo, the shortest best ending to chrono trigger deserves a spot on the site. For reference, if the least. I vote yes.

If it's meant to be a new game then it shouldn't be "Mario" game. change the characters as well. because mario can always stomp on enemies that have a harmless top. And he coould have got together with some artist to do the artwork, couldn't he? Of course he can't program AND make the graphics both excelent, that's a rare thing.

is there a good hack that simply changes the levels layout (without making it impossibly hard) and without trying to add graphics, or anything new? because, when people try to add new stuff... they go very wrong. i tried playing the first world of this hack and it had some new stuff, but not very well executed, the only thing that i said "wow thats good" was the first fortress with the scrolling background, that felt like it could have been in the original cartridge. But the rest just pissed me off.. they changed the powerups to worse, the graphics look amateur (so why change it??) and the engine is different for no reason. Why can't i step on top of enemies that have no spikes on top of them? why is it more difficult to move in the air if there's snow? i didn't like those things. It would have been better just a level layout change.
