This game wasn't overly popular from what I remember, but I sure as hell couldn't get passed one part on the console. I'd love to see someone tackle this one.

yea i know the later ones (Lufia) were made by different people, but you'd think they could try some of the game mechanics that works so well in the second one. I mean the story did nothing for me in 3, so much so that i didn't bother finishing it because of the annoying dungeons. I'm not that far into 4 yet, but I haven't heard good things about it, so i'm not looking for anything.

I was a huge fan of the lufia series until 3 and 4. 3 was a pain because of the dungeons, and 4 just hasn't really done much for me. I'm playing through BOF 2 on GBA SP for the first time as we speed.

I'd be interested in seeing a run of this. I spent so much time on this game.

is the class upgrade worth the time it takes to do it? It's an optional quest. Just curious about that.

I've beaten FF1 before, I realize there's a set number of times each spell level can be cast at a given level between rests at an inn, but even only 4 casts of Lit2 in the game would save time in the required battles that have multiple enemies, and 2 black mages would (potentially) mean twice as many magic casts. I haven't actually tried it to see how much it's worth it, but it seems like it should save more time than a dead character would. (I didn't realize the game ignores the INT stat when determining magic damage though... I guess black mages do get the worst deal when it comes to level up bonuses)
I'm pretty sure he's killing off characters to level faster. after elfland, i think he only has 3 characters, and he'll probably end with 1 or 2.

I remember playing this game as a kid. I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a run on it. It's not an overly fastpaced game. I'm not sure if there are glitches or not, but i'd like to see a run of it. There is an action shot here... so you know what game i'm talking about: http://www.neshq.com/games/r/robowarrior/

but a save state also turns the music back to where it was (at least in ZSNES). I thought it got it's name from saving the exact state of the machine. I'm not sure how this could change anything.

I don't know if you've read all the faqs on gamefaqs, but the single white mage run talks about stat manipulation. It says to save before leveling up because the white mage has a 50% chance of getting STR. So if you don't get it just go back to the save point, and level up again. So, I think it's just random whether you get a specific stat or not at the time of level up.

I'm really looking foward to this on.. It's going to be awesome. I'm a huge FF1 fan. I don't know how much leveling up you're doing. There is a part in the beginning area by the second town that'll let you fight much stronger enemies than normal for that area.
