For the movie that will obsolete this one one day, could someone please make an edited movie which, even very roughly, have cutted all the cinematics etc (and put its link on the submission, not obscurely in one of the many pages of the discussion about the submission) ? You really spend more time watching/skiping them than watching the run...

I'm able to do that, but when I press I don't just want to release but also chain with next little fire so using turbo.

Hello, I searched a lot, tryed a lot but couldn't find a way to do this simple thing: with snes9x (or any other emulators but with zsnex it's obvious that it can't), making a key act like this: when not pushed, it's virtually pushed, when pushed, it's virtually in turbo. I though that auto-push a button then using the turbo key of this button would work but for some reasons when using the turbo key, nothing happen. "Temp turbo" could have been good if only it wasn't turboing jumps etc also. The point is for games like megaman 4-6, megaman X-X3, super metroid, where most likely, if you're not hitting like most of the time, you're charging, and if you're not charging, you're hitting as much as you can. I ask there because you are the ones that edit the more the emulators for your purposes and if this function is not in it, maybe it would help you to put it in.

Btw, I'd like to know why you use the MKV encode too (should I make a new thread for that ?). The same: it's not very knowned, especially compared to avi, so why, is it better for side scrolling games because it use tricks to use less space for the same length ? I'm asking because, you know, you are TASers and all so I guess that when you choose something it's really for having though about it a lot.

For the ads on dailymotion: it's probably by region, I'm french (so that's why I asked because dailymotion being french too whereas youtube is english and more popular, I wondered why) and I often have to wait 15s before the movie start to see the ads about a car, ALWAYS this one. Sometime also, I can't put the movie in fullscreen to always see the ads around the movie about a channel. Also, a little inconvenient of dailymotion is that if you want to go 5 seconds later in a movie, you have to wait for like 60s to be streamed before clicking (so you prefer to wait at all), otherwhise you have to wait like if you clicked in a part not yet streamed. But if it's easier for you to upload, you're right.

yeah I noticed that youtube seem to be 30fps so samus is invisible in one out of two ladders, but that doesn't seem to be the main reason of the choice, I think it's more what mmbossman said.

Ninjah is a game where you have to move the ninja from A to B sometime collecting coins first, using keys, jump, a rope and a gun which push you back. It's a pc game with low chances of being emulable so it won't fit on the submissions I guess, but it got an ingame big slowdown which render the player able to do awesome things, so, if some of you want to do somes and post them here or on youtube I dunno... Here are some I made (not optimized) so you can have an idea. http://rapidshare.com/files/240302225/Ninjah.rar.html The levels are 3 6 7 10 36, there is also 29 and 16 but they aren't tas because I couldn't do better using slowdown since I was pretty lucky when I did it without. You can also move the files from the folder "NO TAS replay" to the replay folder, they aren't tas but there are all the levels. To see thoses replays, simply choose the level and don't move, just watch the ghost. Tell me if some want to tas some levels. Even if this game don't have savestates, it can be way more impressive, entertaining than a lot of runs actually on the site... At the beggining, wouldn't it have been better to equip the shield and the sword in the same pause screen (especially because of the emulator bug) ?

I took a long time to find this run again (since the first time I saw the submission, I didn't have the right version of vba to see it), and I'm pretty surprise that there were a lot of yes vote since this run was rejected. IMO, it was a really good run, I especially liked the way he took to climb the wall from the underground waterthing. I hope Truncated didn't reject this because of his own oppinion. Personnally I even do like to see more 100% map runs (like for the other castlevanias, super metroid, metroid etc), in fact it's one of the first goal I though about when I first heard about speedruns, suprisingly I saw none with this goal. edit: I didn't even saw yet the ice glitch and the way he entered and did the arena.

It wasn't that bad, I especially liked the polygon stage, with the saber, it reminded me neo with the pole.

Don't you save a huge time by jumping in front of you at 4:07 of the part 3 ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=7QoLS-7aYG4&feature=related ) ? You can see it a little, just in front of you, you loose like 90% of your life when you grab the platform just with yours hands but I think you save, maybe like 70 seconds. Though, you can say that it somewhat waste the tas but if it's really saving time, I guess people would be surprise to see that.

What is there in the special room under the statue when you use bombs to reach the lift ? I mean, what is there that force you to use bombs ? Isn't it suppose to be the room just under this one ? Why do you have to save and use 2 saves ? A sort of trick to resync with the "real world" to be able to glitch again and reach the room where everything is explosing ? "isoteric" is the word yeah, usually I understand anything but here, wow.
