Crikey what a long list.
In general, what I am looking forward to:
New emulators and TASable systems. That's a given.
Obsoletions of various runs.
The mere inch of a possibility that Rayman (not the Advance one) may be TASable soon
And the specifics:
Super Mario World 96exit, any% and glitchfest runs
Yoshi's Island 100%
Mega Man 1 improvement
Mega Man 9/10
Grand Theft Auto 2
Croc 100%

First off, sorry if a topic already exists, I haven't found one.
A SNES game released in 1994 based on... guess. I've been considering doing a TAS of this game, since it seems interesting enough. You get a Nail gun that shoots projectiles, a short range fire extinguisher, a jackhammer, and, most interestingly, a grappling hook, which might be interesting when it comes to shortcuts.
The goal of every level is to collect crates, so, what do you guys think?

Well, I'm not sure if Mario 1 and Mario 2J differ, but I remember you have to do a full speed backwards jump against the flagpole in away that allows you to get far enough into the wall. Press left for one more frame to pull Mario further in and jump at the right moment. I figure it's best to study someone else's input, subpixels, x pixels and speed to the frame until you get it right.

To tell you the truth, I'm not entirely sure about this run. While I would like to see a run of this game, a pacifist goal doesn't seem like the most optimal goal choice for me because you're essentially robbing yourself of opportunity for entertainment here, and in a game where you can barely affect the speed, that is important. Also, it's inconsistent due to some regular enemies you have to shoot to get past. Also, the constant wobbling was annyoing.
The movie didn't seem quite optimal to me as well, but maybe I'm mistaken, it's been a while since I last touched this game, so ultimately, I think I'll go with meh.
Best of luck with future projects though

I like what I see so far, though there seem to be a few improvements on a level of frame precision. Can't you summon rush earlier in a few screens? Why don't you jump on the solid platform at 0:57? Can't you turn around earlier when jumping from a ledge after that part?
By all means, keep it up!

Lo and welcome sudgy to tasvideos, enjoy your stay. Anyway, this is a published warpless run on the SNES version, because it allows you to access worlds 9 - D from the very beginning, as opposed to the FDS version, which doesn't. An FDS run had been submitted, but rejected, I think.
Anyway, good luck with your endeavours, here are some nice tricks to try out

Notoriously hard and nearly infamous thanks to the AVGN, I wonder wether this game has any potential for TASing. While it is an autoscrolling game, Perhaps it has capabilities for a playaround, given just by how ridiculously many projectiles it throws in your way. And besides, a game this hard being destroyed TAS style certainly would feel satisfying.
Anyway, here's an old, unoptimized WIP I've done ages ago for your enjoyment.

Since this is essentially the Standard run, standard character on standard difficulty, I think it should aim for the Standard goal here, that is, fastest time. So I think Mr.Perfect would be more impressive on a hard mode run anyway, since it is less reasonable in real time to do so. By all means, I like the goal of getting as many lives as possible, as it showcases nicely what a TAS can do, but it shouldn't waste any time.
By all means, I'm looking forward to your next WIP

Watched the encode (Thanks, faucet!), and yeah, it was a pretty good run. Given it's even faster than the death-run, I don't mind it's publication, so yeah, I guess.

First off, you guys have awesome beards :D
Second, with the subtitles, I really enjoy seeing this show. You guys are pleasant to listen to (even though I speak no french), you provide some nice info on the game and TAS and you highlight great TASes that I might have forgotten about or find too boring to watch on their own these days. So, please make more episodes and subs!

And disappointed I wasn't. Really nice run, and all the new tricks, strategies and route changes all were very cool. A very solid run and an improvement of this magnitude certainly look good as well
