Hey, I am amazed by how well the submission is doing, thanks everyone. Derakon, it depends on how far up the gate sits. If it's close to the ceiling, I can't reach it with a jump

Hm, this had the look and feel of a low-glitch 100% run (probably because of the detours necessary to collect the body parts of Vlad). Why didn't you go for that as your goal instead? Why do you think this category should exist? I think something like low-glitch (maybe) 100% with speed/entertainment tradeoffs to showcase the different weapons/spells would have been a smarter choice of category. I'm not really sure what to vote on this.
In the context of this game, what would a 100% run be? Map completion? Relics? Anyway, I really am not sure what to vote on this run. On the one hand, it certainly was entertaining enough and seemed well executed. You had a nicely varied way of moving, the boss fights were nice and the route seemed optimized. I also liked the way save warps are used. However, I am not really sure wether a separate publication is needed next to the glitched and Maxim runs. Also, some of the choices you made in the run are very questionable. Why are door glitches fine, yet out of bounds ones aren't? Why do you kill some enemies, but jump or dodge others? I will abstain from voting for this run, I think.

Tell you the truth, I always found the constant pausing very annoying in Mega Man 9. Simply enough, it killed the flow if you fire two shots, pause, and switch weapon. Thus, I think, a TAS of MM9 should be real time oriented. Any why is there no quickswitch like in MM10?

"The collision detection in this game is pretty bad compared to Croc 1" Wow, that has to be saying... a lot. In any case, very intersting find right there, but given that it's based on an emulation glitch, is this actually possible to do on the actual console?

After watching the encode by feos, I can say that I was thoroughly entertained by the run. As with Metal Slug X, it was very amusing to just see all the carnage going on, and the game didn't even lag as badly as Metal Slug X does. Highlights for me include the boss fight with the musclebound guy in Mission 3, you just slashing your way through everything in Mission 5 and the ship/plane segment in Mission 6. The way you avoided everything was wonderful. Also, I don't mind the death/continues thing given that, hey, you can complete the game faster with it and regardless what purists say, in the end of the day, you still beat the game. And 12:23 certainly isn't a bad time to do this in. Yes vote here.

Run feels very fresh and puts new WTF into a game I thought was out-wtf-ified. I enjoyed how you handled getting money from the spellbooks and a final completion time of sub 14 minutes doesn't look bad either. I wouldn't mind seeing this obsoleting the current any%, so here goes a yes from me.

Quite frankly, I really am not sure what to make of this run. It was entertaining enough and appeared technically well done, and well, there never can be enough Super Metroid on this site. However, the fact of the matter still is that it's based on what is likely nothing more than a debug code. At least I can't think of any other explanation for why this is there. I do not want this movie to sink into obscurity, again, because I'm a sucker for them Metroids, but I'm not quite sure this should be publicated along with the other categories. So, I'll be refraining from voting.

Link to video Stage 1 - 16, this is the last WIP before I submit it. It's progressing nicely, and I am pleased with how it's going. Wonder what the final time will be.

I wouldn't mind giving another Mario star to SMB2, really, so, by all means, go ahead.

Is abusing the rating system enough to get him banned? Well obviously it is, but I couldn't care less about ratings to be honest. And other than that, he seemed like a decent enough dude overall. Is the ban gonna be permament?

Holy balls, this was easily among the best movies I've seen in a while. It had everything, heavy glitching, manipulation, optimization... I'm left speechless, only able to give it a yes vote.

Overall a very enjoyable run, with all the tricks that made the other R&F runs so good. Obvious yes vote right here. Also, god damnit Wily, stop humping the floor!

It does look pretty interesting, I always like to see if there's just pure carnage going on in the screen. But I wonder wether the gameplay might be too monotonous for 10 - 15 minutes. After all, from everything I can gather, there doesn't seem to be anything other than well-executed boss fights that really influence speed.

Typically, I really enjoy First Person Shooter runs because of how reckless the main character throws himself (or rather herself) into the enemies, completely indifferent to any living things, whoever those may be. Add to that the extra precision of TASing tools, plonking down headshots like it's no thing, the fast paced nature and complexity of the game as well as the cool tricks like out of bounds exploits and shoving various characters around and you've got yourself a very enjoyable run. Just a shame the sync issues seem to be so severe, but I don't see why this shouldn't get a yes from me.
