Very entertaining run. Yes vote :D I'm glad I could help you in some small way. Your final level was definitely more entertaining than mine, but at times it appeared laggier. I am not too sure of this though and either way it was worth it. Great job!

Yay for being published! In the movie description, the link to 'author's comments' goes to mrz's old movie comments instead of the new comments. Could somebody please fix this?

In MSW I wanted to get the !yoshi because it looks cool but when I opened the box I noticed some lag frames, so I skipped it. If I knew that it would have been faster, I would have clearly done it, but I had no idea.

When I finish my current project (I have no clue when that will be), I will look into this game. This used to be my favorite game a couple years ago and I know all of the levels and stuff so it won't be too foreign to me to TAS. Unfortunately, I have not seen the TASes or speedruns of this game or x2 or x3 yet so I don't know what I'm getting myself into. When I have freetime I will study up on it and see if I'd like to pursue a 100% run of it.

We are trying to finish within the next two weeks, which should be very easy to accomplish. And yes, it might take some time to write our novel, but hopefully we can do it while finishing up the TAS so we don't have to wait to submit.

I'm pretty sure something like this has been brought up before and the consensus is that we already have runs for all of the individual games, so why do we need one with all of them, since it will be the exact same.

We actually have 28 levels to go because we did the Forest of Illusion in a different order, so we haven't done 44, 45, or 47 yet.

I just wanted to say that the small run that thegreginator and I are working on reached the halfway mark yesterday. Only 43 more exits to go ;)

I remember Funcoland. Yeah I think it is Gamestop now. There are a few Gameforces in my area, although must of them suck now. They used to sell good old games but now they are filled with either new games, or the worst old games, mainly sports games. I went to one a few months ago and they only had like 5 games, just like 200 hundreds copies of each one. There is also a Gamefreak near my house, but it sucks too.

Still, the new run almost forces us to start a new TAS, no matter how much leveling it needs or boring it looks.
This makes it sounds like the purpose of the site is just to beat console speed runs with tools because we can. But actually it's for making tool-assisted runs that have both speed and entertainment qualities that are played with frame perfect precision. From what I am hearing, an improvement to this run using the 3:49 strategy sounds boring and doesn't seem like it would fit on this site. I am saying that just because a console speedrun beat a TAS doesn't mean we are obligated to beat it to prove we are better if it does not match the purpose of the site by creating an entertaining movie.

http://tasvideos.org/308M.html It's used to be published so you could have found it by searching on this site. I didn't check but hopefully that smv file works.

Yes I knew that about the death, I was just going to let jimsfriend say that himself. There is no point in a TAS on virtual console since they are just classic games.

I think he might've known that the video linked to by jimsfriend was done on console, and he was just expressing his desire to see the TAS of the small run. And no, jimsfriend is not submitting the run to SDA. He can say why not for himself, I don't want to speak for him.
