Imo, these runs are a great way to learn how to use the tas tools and to learn the tricks of a game that may become useful in a future speedrun, and they're usually entertaining so i don't see any problem. I learnd alot from the s2 ringless run attempts.

Awesome ! Can I add your inputs to the run ? (then, there would be seven names in the run's title ;P) Edit: I realised that the only level that hasn't been improved is OOZ2 if I remember correctly. I may give it a try after my Pac-man world tas test run.

Very good news indeed! How could I not have noticed these new posts early? In any case, I know that it is obvious, but have you tested it on the over-world?
I haven't been able to reproduce it, seems like it only works on some walls. I redid the first level. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/601980849/PAC_MAN_WORLD.pjm

I still have some tests to do, I found a way to walk faster in all directions by pressing: up-left, left, down-left, left. I tried this on a wall and started walking in the air for few seconds. Seems like this game will be broken soon. ^^ I also messed the gravity when jumping out of the water, i'm now jumping really f**king high. O_O Link to video Edit: Seems like it was caused by PSXjin's Resident evil 2/3 & Parasite eve 2 fix. ><' Edit2: I managed to fall through the invisible wall in front to the screen and die... weird.

I tried something in CPZ1 and modified LTRP's inputs near the end of the zone. I lost 2 or 3 frames and I guess it's improvable. ^^ http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/806071272/S2K%20noring%20CPZ1.gmv (already obsolete) Edit: Now faster by at least 10 frames.

After seeing Qwerty/NaturelLorenzo's Knuckles WIP, I realised it was faster without the zip, but my CNZ1 WIP is still really improvable (by at least 1 or 2 seconds just in the beginning). http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1562032417/S2K%20noring%20CNZ1%202013-01-20.gmv The route I used may be faster but your skills are far better than mine.

I guess I'll have to stop TASing with my ps3 controller ><' Edit: I beat MCZ2 by 1 sec without the zip. ^^ http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/925948997/S2K%20noring%20MCZ2.gmv Edit2: I got 0:24 (-3sec) on CNZ1 without the zip.

That's great ! I'll add these inputs to the run soon. ^^ I don't even understand how to run this fast in the oil. Next things I have to learn: Slope acceleration and using left+right/up+down. ><

I finally did Oil Ocean Zones, got 0:32 (-6sec) and 0:38 (-4sec). Really improvable, but still better than my last attempts. New WIP soon. Edit: Got 0:27 on CNZ1 and 0:37 on CNZ2. Edit2: Save one second on the MZ3 boss. New WIP: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1457572222/S2K%20noring%20WIP%20SCZ.gmv

Double post, sorry. ARZ1 in 19 seconds, a 6 seconds improvement. http://filesmelt.com/dl/ar1.gst http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/119165497/ar1.gmv Lua scripts are really useful, I can't believe I didn't use them before. ><'

I did ARZ2 in 0:40. 4 seconds faster than the last run, with the boss glitch suggested by WST on page 3. Edit: Improvable A LOT !, I just watched Mike89's Knuckles speedrun and he just flies over the whole level... and it's faster -_-' He got 0:41 without the boss glitch. Edit2: Now in 0:36, and the boss music never stops playing. http://filesmelt.com/dl/ar2.gst http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/69323949/ar2.bak.gmv

Kinda motivated today, I've done MZ1 in 0:43, 8 seconds faster than the last run and got 0:29 on MZ2 like Felipe. Still nothing on OOZs though. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1704328457/mz1.bak.gmv http://filesmelt.com/dl/Sonic_and_Knuckles_Sonic_2_W_!GMV.gst (savefile)

After looking at your (awesome) run, I looked at S3 levels and just AIZ2 is really hard (the part with the loops), I can't even imagine MGZ1. I'll give it a try, "impossible" goals are always interesting.

The walls being too close to the ledges make it impossible because when he's doing the ledge glitch, he runs directly in a wall. Edit: Maybe by glitching down. I'd test it if I could ><'
