i remember getting Radical Dreamers to play only on it. will SF2Alpha work without the Graphics Package? (as well as other games listed on the SNES in that window)

are there any games that can be played on ZSNES that cant be played on SNES9x? i think Zophar's says ZSNES is STILL the best emulator out there, and was just curious.

im not sure if its the timing or what is different. but it cant be that because EVENTUALLY the movie will get past that point (after enough closing out and restarting) im more concerned with the randomness factor. ill retry that and see if it happens again... though i would have to be pretty far gone to think i imagined playing the rest of the level up to the boss.

http://nvdata.pilif.ch/Kim_Possible_Factory.zip im stuck there because i cant figure out how to get past that 1 wall kick area (3 or 4 pits over). its a fun game to play and theres only that level and 1 more to do.

update: another screw-up! http://nvdata.pilif.ch/MGGB_beta_lvl_8.zip up to lvl 8. and i finished it up to the boss Pyro Bison. however, on replay, a guard appears during an alert and he DID NOT when i was playing through. so the movie goes to hell after the 2nd nikita missile is fired. anyhow, i can see a few minor tweaks here and there, but i thought id update. im up to around 180000-200000 frames (it was 200K before the random guard). so, expect 50 minutes though you CAN fastforward through it if you want (i can at least). im not sure whether i should ever submit this considering its more a of a quick walkthrough to some extent, (or if i can considering the new problem) but im having fun making it while i am. does anyone know if the appearance could be tied into a reset. the puzzle game is always random (lvl 5 outside doors) from a new game, so i dont think guard placement on alert could be it. anyone have any input on why that guard would suddenly not be where he was in the movie. thank you in advance for helping. EDIT: let me expand upon this. i generally bundle and e-mail myself emulators, roms, movies and savestates when i go to and from school to work on them on breaks and down time. now, when i first started using this, i got a good start in the game (lvl 3) tested it out, played it back, everything fine. however, when i tried that at school the next day... nada. desanc in the first level. pissed me off a good deal to. so i went back and redid it all and got further. now, i worked on it at school for the past few days (down time due to finals week) and got very far (see above). so i bundle it up and email myself this to do at home. i get home, unzip the files, reset the directories (searching for the movie STILL goes to old places regardless) and start playing back... and it desyncs. so before lashing out in a fit of unfocused rage, i stop, exit and restart the app. and it goes past that... but desyncs later on. now, instead of getting pissed off again, i exit, restart and... wah-lah, past that as well. ...can someone explain why this is happening as well? i never have this problem with any of the other emulators (moving from home to school and the progress being just fine). thanks once again in advance. :) <--- forced smile because /*- is quite irritated but will be over it in an hour.

ah, Dark Cloud... is it necessary to kill off the 4 other guardians to free the Dark Warriors? it always sounded like an OPTIONAL thing in the FAQs, but i tried it once and could never do significant damage to her/him. Some of those Guardians are quite dangerous. The 2 headed dragon and Ahriman in particular can do massive damage. you may indeed want 2 O.K.'s for that part. good look once again, Omega.

actually... in Ghost Babel, i've noticed that at Toggle 25% i can evade some enemies sight when just running by them but when played back in realtime, it doesnt work... i get caught and subsequently die. now, im not entirely sure this is a desync or not, so i went in and tried it a few times in real time myself... and it never worked. of course, i may have not been doing frame for frame the EXACT same thing, but it was pretty close i think. anywho, thats my little take on it.

theres a file at gamefaqs that explains. it can be done as early as after the first crystal is gotten and you re-enter Altar Cave. heres a link to the gamefaqs: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/file/final_fantasy_iii_feok.txt also, to explain how the item upgrade works: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/file/final_fantasy_iii_upgrade.txt it gives a full list of all kinds of stuff and detailed info though the lack of ASCII will make it a bit confusing at first. its a better explanation than i could even begin to give. EDIT: the MAJOR downer here is that you need 99 potions and the few more items needed to fill slots.

why not use the trick to get them earlier? it would make the game a breeze from then on pretty much. its just a massive pain in the beginning because you have to win a potion at the end of each battle to upgrade the equipment and then go back through and resort. personally, i dont see anything wrong with this. battles get tedious quite quickly and this way they'd be over quicker. ...anyhow, should you decide to do this one, best of luck... to anyone and everyone attempting this... this and FF2 are my favorite NES ones (hahaha).

just memorize the inputs on a translated one and then do it on the JPN rom. id really like to see this done; especially with the FEOK's just for the massive damage that can be done.

ventuz, the buttons held down, did u notice if it desanc more if you pressed what would be the d-pad or the A/B/L/R/Start/Select? EDIT: it looks like it officially craps out at around 63000-65000 frames. however, when i closed out of VBA and opened it back up, it progressed as normal. im really not sure why this happened, but it makes rerecording major screw-ups a pain in the ass.

a few questions (i checked the thread, i just need clarification): -does sound affect movie playback/desync? -if NOT, what would cause desync? -how well do GB/GBC games work with this? -is there a limit to when VBA will "give out" (such as with older versions of SNES9x) and recording will halt? if so, what is the limit? thank you. :)

i honestly saw no reason to watch it AGAIN, but i did anyhow... from megasmilax on. again, superb job. however, id still want a write up as to why everything happens and why you choose the things you do, but the movies excellent as always. also, thanks for the savestates as well. nice idea. YES.

Seems to desync for some people. Note that you need the UP+DOWN -enabled FCEU to watch it.
thought it was just a bad rom... the checksum on mine was all 0's for the movie. anyhow, used PRG1 and it worked fine. very nice.

Simply because I don't want people to make futile movies with the current rerecording patch.
thank you, good sir. i can't wait to start trying out games for that system (you know, where the rerecord, slowdown and save states work correctly :)).

can someone list the SPECIALS for all the corresponding characters? namely, the girl who blocks... when you SPECIAL her, shes turned me green and ive bounced (literally hit the ground, squashed and bounced), turned red and gotten "charge"!? whatever that is... and i think ive been turned gold once... but that might be me mistaking the GREEN as well. anyhow, id just like to know what each of these actually do as im a little lost there. otherwise, this game is very addicting. EDIT: my buddy and i have been playing this constantly for the past 2 days... heres his high score so far: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/wickedestchild/bike_roll.jpg

a definite yes. will there be a more detailed description on why certain things happen to sum it all up (somewhat like Arc had for Zelda 2)? not that it matters... tedious as it is, its very nice to see it done so quick and so well (especially some of the puzzles). curiosity... how long is this if the "cutscenes" are not counted? rough guess? anyhow, will there be an AVI? i can only imagine its size. :)

hey, im gonna continue working on this as best i can BUT i would encourage someone else to do this as well. why? because i make no guarantees ill get this done. i do like this game, and maybe ive just had a bad hour trying to record 17 seconds, but im just not feeling the way i did before about the game. ill keep trying, but id also encourage someone else because i did miss that HUGE time saver in WhatTheHeck. who knows what else i missed. that little spike thing... it was slower. i dont know if i was doing it wrong or what, but actually grabbing the chain was like half a second or so faster. i prolly did it wrong. either way, while this one is improved, you'll see why i DONT want to get those blue orbs in A.A. if u want me to, ok. the musics kind of... catchy (Buttville's still my favorite though). EDIT: level 2 up to Evil done, shortcuts used. http://nvdata.pilif.ch/EwJv2_heck.zip i used the shortcuts provided by Cheez, which felt really familiar once i saw the gmv. anyhow, its a minute faster now... and SHOULD be more, but i left in the bonus. and since NO ONE objected, i went on. let me know what you think of this one. ill prolly wait a day or so as finals rapidly approach. i may get in something sooner, but i wont start progress for a day or so.

-played on normal. -ill try that out... somewhere... -random stuff... yeah... well, any suggestions on what to do here? i was just doing it for fun. -thanks for the 1st boss advice... thought i had to whip everything -too many blue things = bonus = wasted time. its not necessary, but i guess ppl wanna see it. -found the whipping animation thing out around LEVEL 5... id completely disregarded earlier levels by then. -ghost cats, really? thought it was ok... Evil has a set distance. so if i move left, he'd have moved left as much as me. i cant shoot and jump so maybe whipping but everytime i attempted to it wouldnt hit him... dunno why. -big cats... i estimated. im not a frame advance user but that would be the few places id actually use it. they do have a WIDE range to grab you in. -sometimes not getting hit required slowdown. and sometimes, the hits bounced me so it was a nice trade off. but no hits is prolly gonna be more wanted. -Major Mucus i DID manage to kill once i thought in 15 seconds... but then i could never get it back and had no idea what i did right or wrong then. ill test things. the 3rd round is much different since he starts coming at you. -conveyor belts... i think enemies were a problem here... and i was gonna run low on health. im trying to think of a way to get around the BRAINs and such... its prolly possible and faster, im just not sure I can do it. -meteors move quick. whipping i never tested since i always got hit by one while i was trying it (stationary, no jumping). 1-up... aesthetic... maybe... -im thinking about the gliding thing. jumping pretty much = running. jumping+whip is slower than running and so is jumping+gliding (i take it you mean helicopter here, right?). -actually, i did. if i let go, id of hit a thorn. its a VERY narrow path.
