id also like to add the double standard exposing an inherent flaw in the system (once again, i point you to dkr)
comparisons to zelda:oot are completely irrelevant because i went no on that like you probably did for different reasons
saying power to the oligarchy was just a clever and inoffensive way of getting the point across
that being said i hope there is a turok tas published here soon
you didnt watch the dkr run then, there were tons of human error which were listed in detail by multiple viewers who knew the game well
or perhaps you just didnt know the game well
or looked at the thread
or any number of other things
id just like to point out that since a very unoptimized dkr run was just published it probably creates a murky area here... and dont say that isnt a relevant event
regardless, i will be a coward fence-sitter and just "meh" to placate both sides
i knew this would be accepted
you doubters pshhhhh
so im curious if the author or someone else will be improving this or is it too much work
and what are the estimates for how much time can be saved, say, 6-8 minutes maybe?
ok even though i just beat adventure for the 10th time (havent we all) i gave this gba port a try and i really like the upgrades; i just 100%'d it in one sitting
the elephant is adorable
i also like how backdrop has a "homing" built in and throw projectiles have double the width, makes both useful suddenly
also, the damage done by abilities is amped and the damage done by spitting stars nerfed some
i dont like how the "hidden" areas from adventure are suddenly MUCH easier to find on the remake
seems to be a lot more changes than i was expecting
of course, few that affect a tas, but definitely enough to warrant giving it a play if youve smashed through adventure
whoa i just thought of another "botchery"
since he has to go back to the character selection after beating wizpig the first time anyway, he can select drumstick there, who of course has better speed than krunch even and decent handling to boot
i have one question for the guy who did the movie: any dkr vet knows that pressing "a" early terminates the green boost from a zipper early, what is the amount of time specifically before you can hit "a" after hitting a zipper to maximize the boost?
This is only relevent to the hovercraft. It seems the boosts in this game are often based on luck. The starting boost for instance varies in speed from boosting you to 60 to 90 even though you press A at the same time on a different track.
...no sorry that isnt right, i am 100% certain otherwise because i and a friend were testing it out while doing co-op adventure a few months ago
and since that was the "swing" question if you will between whether it is optimized enough to vote yes or not, for all the reasons i and others said i have to vote no despite all the work it seems was put into this
however, this will almost definitely be accepted since it is a n64 movie and those are by far the most entertaining to watch and there already seems to be a surge of people voting yes just so they can watch it since they cant on their emulator
so, now i should say congrats! and thanks for doing a n64 run; and i look forward to any improvement
