I'm having the same problem as VANDAL, the games play ok the first time when using the glN64 plugin, but when I go to load a movie the screen becomes black. I can't get Dirct64 working either, it gives me a 'Error creading Direct3D device!' message.

In case anyone wants to know: I got WIP6 working when I used TAS Plugin 0.6 for input (the graphics were still kinda funky). I still havent gotten damn.m64 to work yet tho.

There's some kickin treble as well. Its like the programmers were trying to use the widest spectrum possible on the NES or something. Randil gets bonus points for being able to manoever through qbert land

Those guards were so stunned by seeing that little kid move backwards so fast that they didn't catch him. deserved to be published, loved the bomb use!

hehe, that one guy's name is Fake Enormous anyway i'm really glad you did this game cuz i never got past the first maze, and always wondered what came after that. but i'm kinda hesitant to vote yes cuz what comes after is pretty much more of the same. so i'm voting meh, but with a thanks for showing me the wacky ending to this game!

just a quick note on the translation of the title, 組曲 in Chinese can also mean 'a musical suite' or literally 'a group of songs'.

i think for the other ending you have to get the girl's ring on the magic carpet stage, then give it to her later in the level. I think it would only add on a few more seconds. there's also a cool easter egg, the 'cup of coffee' that you can find and give to some computer programmers hidden on a later stage, but I forget what you get for doing that.

I read that a recent study showed that 50% of the time people can't tell with text-based electronic communication if someone is being sarcastic or not. but with this group ... :)

thanks for the responses everyone, this took a long time to make, and I wont have time to work on other things for a little while. (gotta finish school, move, and find a job...) hmm, i'm not sure what the errors are, does it still play ok without desynching? i did try to do some hex-editing, but gave up on that. i don't think that should cause errors tho. also, i think midway through i clicked the button to 'allow more than 8 sprites per scanline' because sometimes things start dissappearing, like in RCR, but it didn't really seem to make a difference. I think i left it clicked for the rest of the movie. I died in the one spot just for fun, i felt like the sidescrolling parts were starting to get repetitive. it doesn't take any time off in any case.

Highness: yea, or like 'to be encoded in the year 2015' or something to show low priority.

I was looking at the games floating around near the bottom of the submissions pile, and it seems they all have one thing in common - they're played well, but the game just doesn't make for a good TAS. I was wondering if we could find a home for these somewhere other than the Eaten by a Grue list, because that list has boring games played well mixed in with games played poorly, and isn't easy to sift through. For any given game one would have to go through and read all the comments to find out if the game just wasn't played well, or if the game is boring, or what.

Great run FODA! this looks like its planned and executed really well. I thought I would be fast-forwarding through a lot of it, but it was entertaining enough that i didn't. I was wondering if getting the eggplant on level 3 slows you down, or did you just do that for fun? Also, I don't know if there are two versions, but this plays for me fine on Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Shima (J) [!].nes Here's a funny screenshot:

Does anyone have any idea how this scrolling works? I think I have to go below a certain point to trigger it. This sequence should look like: But if you try to follow the ceiling along to the right you end up in a wall: Anyway, the cutting and pasting didn't work, so I had to redo all of levels 1 and 2, which was good because i saved some frames by doing it again. I'm on level 5 now, the WIP is the same link as the last post.

I don't know if its possible, but I think it would be cool if you could move the ship in a way that when you glazed your eyes over and look it spells out something or draws a picture. Cuz it seems like you mostly did figure 8s, and otherwise it looked like some sort of insect was moving around randomly on the screen. The only part that made me laugh was when you played with the guys who move slowly and turn to follow you. Could you have toyed with them any more?
