That's impressive on console play.
Diamond is 4000? hah, I thought it always was 5000, I guess I wasn't really paying attention to cash counter. Ok skipping diamond, cheese, 500 then grab the gold bar outside and 500 from Wednesday's room is good idea then.
That cheese drop was interesting, might have to look into sometime.

Any way to make frame counter and font display stuff not resize or disappear along with game reso and game loading phase?
Resize not big deal to me, but them disappearing is.

Hmm? Diamond is worth 5000, Cash pile worth 500. I ended my game with 2100 spare.
1002100 - 5500 = 996600
1000000 - 996600 = 3400
EDIT: Diamond is 4000
Erm ok I checked. I see. I also know about it, but I didn't bother using it. It was only route demonstration.

Hmm maybe that could work, but will need 3400 cash this way. 2k Gold bar outside, 500 from Wednesday room, 500x2 from the pond.
Yeah I know from seeing your SDA run, doing tas in Wood, Pond, and Dining room is pain in the ass.

No I were going to abuse both deaths and continues.
Hey you're right, it is faster to collect all money in ballroom. I thought there were no time to collect them all and dancers would block door after time up. I should have check into that first.
No zipping not TAS only, if it work on console then you should be able to, It's easy to do, it just a little confusing to control Gomez when you're continuing holding up direction.
I've been thinking on different / new route idea, I'll demonstrate it, it is not a TAS.

Yeah I tried these, still doesn't detect anything from ps3 controller.
By the way, what is "USE" button supposed to be? it seem to just jump to Segu plugin, and then doesn't detect joystick there either. Save and Cancel did that too.
Maybe I'll add video of that later.
*edit - somehow I made motionjoy driver crash, and it reload with new name. N-gage was able to detect PS3 controller button. But after I save it and close, N-gage just "forget" these setting and return to keyboard, FML.

Ok, if you add this address: 0628 to ram watch, it's the address telling the game "Gomez is standing on the weigh-in" being 1.. "Gomez is not on weigh-in" being 0
I accidently discovered it by teleporting out of room using LUA script, and 0628 value stayed on 1, then I went back into Treasury room, money became infinite. You can transform just mere 100 cash into 11111111 cash this way.
But so far, for me, it's impossible to exit Treasury room without having that address' value change to 0.
I just had to post it, leave it here until someone find a way to leave room without changing it from 1 to 0.
Yeah 2.1.4a is current.

I knew someone would say "use something else" line, it's giving me a fuck, I already tried them all.
N-Gage = doesn't detect joystick for me, only detects keyboard or mouse
Segu Direct Pad Pro = detects all of joystick buttons, but emulator not picking up any of joystick input, just keyboard
JoyToKey = detect some of joystick buttons, Left, Right, L2, R2 doesn't work, Analog not being 360
Using keyboard alone = most keys I can't press more than 3 keys combination, and psxjin having bug not letting me use just CTRL for frame advance.
And I just checked out LUA doc, I think there's no "get" function for analog tilting.
Any other option?

Forgive me but I don't get how do I set up that emu will detect analog movement? I can't figure it out in joytokey.
I got it partly figured out but it only goes 4 direction, I guess just because it is just keyboard output.
Also JoyToKey doesn't detect Left / Right Dpad on my PS3 controller, but Psxjin controller plugin does, oh boy... PSXJIN seriously need joystick support.

Something interesting I found from using LUA, if Gomez leave treasury room without taking cash back from weigh in and then reenter; Cash becomes glitched. Enough to open door to Gomez room. But I cannot find a way to leave room without getting cash back the legit way. I even tried using stair glitch, that almost got it but not really, I guess we need a way to leave room without having Gomez touching the ground.

Ah, pal rom was difficult to get my hand on. And movie desync on current emu version, so I had to download 2.0.0 emu.
Anyway that aside... Oops, I should have gone with dying in left The Landing instead of dropping down to outside, it's ~100 frames faster. And I like the idea of using Thing for snowballs, but I need to look into about time spend climbing up stair vs time spend jumping over snowballs.
I still can't find what does middle music manuscript even does.
LUA script I created, surprisingly worked on Pal rom.

Cool, sorry I thought there would be more place to use it, but I guess not.
No it wasn't desync. If I were to get umbrella first, then in freezer I would have to spend MORE time avoiding snowballs, dying there will put Gomez to right if I save wednesday. Plus I needed health point to get thru wood and pond quicker.
Nope. While making a LUA script to teleport Gomez, I tried visited all room from poking RAM. If you wanted to see for yourself, put this in CHEAT - 0471, from 0 to 24 is valid room, anywhere above lockup, no new room or anything.
No idea, I guess I should use my teleporting LUA and find out if anywhere does something.

Ok maybe I'm crazy trying to crack memory address that affect sprite issue.
Here my finding:
03B6 - PPU row pointer (I think you need to set it to 09 for weapon graphic)
03B7 - PPU column pointer (00, 20, 40, 60, 80, A0, C0, E0 in order from left to right)
0008 - I think it may have something to do with graphic
00FD - I think it also may have something to do with graphic or pausing
No idea if you can change them frame for frame, or all at once with lua memory.writebyte().
If you put 03B7 in debugger, make it break on WRITE, then try open or close menu in game, you'll notice it'll pause each time a tile in PPU viewer is changed.
Set PPU viewer refresh rate to max.

Pretty good, but I think I noticed that some area you wait for enemy to come to you. If you're planning to submit movie, most people prefer that top objective is beat fastest time (or #1 being 100% items or no-death, etc.. then #2 being fastest time).
Spots I notice you lose time on:
~1730 - Dancing sword guy, then you had to move him closer to co-op attack
~4110 - Sword guy attacking cat, but enemy was there ready to be attacked - I think you could have used co-op attack there.
~8600 - Both standing in middle waiting for enemies to get closer, I would understand if you use co-op attack, but you didn't why is that?

Hey I've been secretly working on death abuse TAS, but right now I'm not sure if I should bother finish it or give it up. Dying again and again seem like ruins it's entertainment.
Here's WIP
Should I finish it or give it up? or would someone else like to finish it?
If someone would like to finish it, here my intended route from end of WIP:
1. Collect all money except 500 near wrench, take damage to save time
2. Get wrench then go to secret room, continue take damage, near-death
3. Using glitch / programming error (as seen above) that leads to green bone room with bone pickup. (die here, twice)
4. Exit to garden, die at spike
5. Enter tree, get egg (unsure if dying save time here) - If you didn't get money here, get the 500 from study while lurch playing piano.
6. Back to house, do attic and the rest, the same way my previous movie finished it. In secret river, get all money.
