I immediately noticed how the ads in the "Most recent editions" control break the formatting.

I interpreted Gorash's challenge to mean that you were supposed to write your own permutation function/procedure/etc.
That's how I believe he meant for it to be interpreted, as well, but I think it is our responsibility to punish him for insufficiently detailed instructions and an insufficiently limited context. In the Mathematica Programming Language, Permutation[] is not a package. <<DiscreteMath`Combinatorica` is, but luckily you don't need it!

Do me a favor and TAS S3C so I can die in peace. Superb work, by the way.

Your run looks really incredible for the most part. You incorporated all of the strategic changes I wanted except for one, which it turns out doesn't even work. (My idea was to exit level 2 with only one bomb, use it on a green molblin like you did, and have your item default to the candle to avoid an item switch ... unfortunately, it defaults to the whistle. I actually never checked that until now.) The only choice I take exception to is killing the blue octorok before level 2 for more bombs. In my opinion, that's not necessary, and it's a big waste of time. In several of the various strategies I tried I was able to manipulate drops prior to the blue octorok to obviate the need for stopping and killing it. I suspect it should be possible in your run, too.

Just a quick note, you didn't start the game as fast as Phil or I did. Just gank the first 50 frames from Phil's video or one of my WIPs.

Oh and ... 153 re-records. Obviously not enough for any TAS of any game on any console.
I wish I could find a game crappy enough to prove you wrong with!

I've done it up to partway through Level 7 (the last one before Death Mountain). At present, I'm about 30 seconds ahead of Sleepz' run. Anyone interested in seeing the WIP?
I'm interested. I've found a (theoretical) way to shave off 10-15 seconds before even getting to level 2, so I wonder if you incorporated any of my findings. The only problem with my method is I can't get the @#$%ing wallhands to drop two fivers in level 1. By the way, search for the main thread and talk in that.

Ice cream would probably make it taste better, but that's a lot of sugar, and ice cream is expensive, too.

I crack two raw eggs into my protein shakes. It doesn't feel like I'm really working at it unless it's unforgivably gross ... xebra's ultimate weight gainer protein shake Ingredients
  • 16 oz. heavy cream¹
  • 1 cup raw oats
  • 4 tbsp chunky peanut butter
  • 2 extra large grade AA eggs²
  • 30 g (1 scoop) 100% pure whey protein
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup
Directions
  • Blend into a uniform brown sludge
  • Chug³
¹Weenies may substitute milk, even skim. ²If you have a history of high cholesterol, you may want to first remove the yolks. ³Believe me, you want to chug this as fast as possible. If you don't, the oats will settle to the bottom and it will be almost impossible to choke it down, forcing you to mix the last ¼ or so with an equal part water to thin it up.

Steve Irwin lived and died doing what he loved. Even as my eyes tear at the news of his death, I pray that we may all have (and take!) the chance to do the same.
