Cool =) You just have to have corresponding element then... If you are going to have double jump after third level, you won't have element for first fragon though )

3rd level: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2941/mmz4-3.vbm I succeeded in getting all 4 parts that could be only received early on this (or previous) level - faital ,c-hopper, ceratanium, gangagun ^_^ Now I can get double-jump... not much stolen weapons are used here, most are taken just to be thrown away (charged knuckle is stronger than saber slash, and stealing shield makes LamportX turn around). However, in most cases some enemy stands in the throwed weapon's way ^^

I don't know if it would be useful for normal mode run, but charged Knuckle is your friend, really. You can hit with it few times, like with aerial saber slash, but... there is NO 3 frames of lag during each hit ^_^ Useful for fighting with those three dragons for example. And on Icy level (hibernation chamber) taking upper path with taking claw weapon would be nice idea when you have double jump. (You chose "hidden" lower path in published movie, thanks for showing that way ^__^) You can get CLAW there, then move one level down on elevator, make it move upwards and fall down - I did it with killing enemies on every floor during falling and got to the midboss only ~1 second later. If you just fall without slowing down to kill enemies, it will be faster. Also I killed midboss with claw faster then you in your published movie, using turning to do multiple hits and double jump to stay in air, I killed left part of it with one big jump, and finished all the other parts with another jump. You can take a look at it here: (just fast-forward through first few levels to frame 33800, they are really unoptimized, it's not my current wip, but in current run it's only next level for me, so it's not redone) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2937/MMZ4_4_sakura.vbm And don't forget to skip "Inticreates" screen using start+select+A+B (if you did not - you can hex edit it, it wont affect anything luck-related) By the way I would like to know if my hard mode run WIP (in corresponding thread, not one in this post) looks much worse than your current work ) I think I tried hard~

I have two questions: How come weapon selection window does not show up un upper-left video when start is pressed? It's around 03:28 in video... And will you consider encoding further WIPs from the end of last WIP with a little overlap? beginnig won't change at all anyways, I think...

Actually, I hear you don't really need to move it much at all to get desired effects. You can sit back and just move the wiimote right in front of you, rather than jump around and swing, and you'll still get the same effects.
But the atmosphere is different. You don't swing fishing rod in front of you, do you? (just one lame and simple example) =)

Okay, I decided to make "More 1337 combos" ((c) AnotherGamer) run of this game. Planned path: Start at 11- warp +44 56-57-58-59-60- no warp (to warp to 91 later) 61-62-63-64-65- warp +10 76-77-78-79-80- warp +10 91-92-93-94-95- 96-97-98-99-100 Game ends after 100th wave is cleared. Every wave should be cleared by meeting some conditions. I am not building shortest solution for those, but I will try to use combination that clears the wave. If it is not possible (without repeating previously used construstions), I am going to divide it into two different constructions then. Most levels are already planned(and there are some REALLY nice combos there ^_^ up to 30 klaxes at once (I hope that one will work) ) waves 57, 77 and 97 are "fast" levels, tiles appear very often, and it's realy hard to luck manipulate them (note: next tile and its location is decided few frames before its appearance). So I will just try to blast through those three (with some combo, just not so nice ones I think) This movie gets to wave 60: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5424/Klax60.gmv I can't come up with combination that gets 18 horisontal klaxes, maximum I can get is 17 :(

Yes, that seems to be the case. When I save-load during first screen, I get black screen, but then menu appears. NOTE: When old (9j) savestates are loaded, everything is displayed correctly, so problem is somewhere in saving.

I always get blank screen when I load savestate made with new version (old savestates work without problems), even if I am not recording a movie. I was using Klax (U) [!] rom (I really hoped "Added several previously unsaved variables to savestates" feature would fix that desyncing case... But I could not even test that =( )

If anybody cares.. ^__^ Level 2 is done http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2732/mmz4-2.vbm I found a way to kill boss much faster than in the movie I once submitted. I also got over that-place-with-tellybomb withi=out having to go all way down. The only downside is that I will have to get telybomb part in other place... ..hope somebody will at least watch it <_<

Those 1,2,3 numbers in beginning of every sibtitle are annoying... Inserting something by hands is not simple if the file is long. However, there are many editors, so it's not a problem at all. *remembered watching FFVII dvd with one played, with subtitles in another player... synchronizing after pause was a real pain T.T
On a side note, I do believe that's some 3x3 Eyes. :)

I think it would be really nice if emulator used to playback (mupen,shex9x,vba,fceu,gens) could display subtitles from srt file during movie playback. Srt is widely used and most simple subtitle format, same file can be used with avi. File looks like this (just copy-pasted first SRT i found):

The only features needed are: recording: - Create subtitle file - Start subtitle here (asks for text) - Hide shown subtitles - Save subtitle file. playback/editing: - Open subtitle file - Show subtitles (toggle). Not much work, I think... Why would it be needed? 1) Comments for movie can be shown while viewing movie. Skipped parts can be explained for those who never played, used tricks for those who has played, but did not know about it. "You know, I just skipped 5 boss rematches! :D" 2) Somethhing funny can help watching through boring parts Of course subtitles can never be taken in consideration when deciding if movie is going to be published or not.
