Well, I know it's not a problem for most of you, but I live not in the best place in terms of internet access, and the only ISP offers connection with ~$0.1 for megabyte. Thus I am forced to disable most images...

And I forgot about adjustable frame rate `^^ Well, have it for delphi and for my way of storing data, so it won't help at all... basically it's (in not any particular language):
pf = 0
st = 0
for a = 0 to frames {
  if framedata[a] = pf then continue
  if pf <> 0 then {
    write ((st/framerate+offset) represented as time --> (a/framerate+offset) represented as time)
    write (formatted framedata[a])
  }
  st = a
  pf = framedata[a]
}
  if pf <> 0 then {
    write ((st/framerate+offset) represented as time --> (a/framerate+offset) represented as time)
    write (formatted framedata[a])
  }
that is: if this frame is the same as previous then go to next frame, else output input for last frames and store data for new input. and don't forget to output last input. Formatting output string is the worst place ^^

subtitle output is a good idea, but display format is the thing to be discussed though. I prefer something like one in dehacked's quad movie wip encoding. And I don't think that "Controller #1" part is needed. Even in worst case "#1" is enough... don't forget to add offset option (for avis with TASVIDEOS logo for example). I don't think other format than srt are needed, as it already takes noticable time to load SRT file with VobSub (for less than one hour VBA movie it was about a megabyte filewhen I checked) for SSA-like format files loading time will be even longer, and size is bigger... btw, there was export to srt in one old abandoned program V(^_^)V now that I think of it, may be that version was not even released :[

It's more like ", should the any% nonwarp run absolete 100% ALttP run", not backwards. This run IS shorter ^^ And finding rom where this trick works is not simpliest task too.

Okay, I have read enough about how bad IE is and how good Firefox and Opera are. So, I tried to install firefox and get used to it. Surprisingly, it shown most pages differently than IE, for example all links on forums are larger than other text. If that's the way it should be and IE is acting wrong, then I like this "wrong" way better. But there's another thing that really bugs me. I always browse with disabled graphics, and if I want to see some picture, i Right-click on it and choose "show picture". IE just displayed that picture where it should be, but FF opened that picture as a new link, and I have to press "back" to return to page. It's absolutely not acceptable, but I did not find any option to make it show piture inside the site, not as a new page. Does anybody know how to do it?.. EDIT: Oh, now I see that it just showed Alternative text of pictures instead of pictures themselves, and that was displayed as larger text. Does not help at all.

Invulnerability of any sort. If you do want to have invulnerability, perhaps only make it against the enemy which actually damaged the character, and not all enemies/obsticles. Make sure you collision detection is decent too. If you need to estimate for performance reasons, make sure the hit box is larger than the character, rather than smaller.
It harms normal playing experience.

- Include 10 hours of non-skippable dialogues - Make it boring and repetitive - Make it *glitchless* That's all ^_____^ EDIT: Forum kept breaking code I wrote, so I just deleted it -_____________________________-

I think that there should be two runs of this game in fact, but this game is not too popular to have 2 runs on this site. One for fastest ingame times, and second for fastest completion, including taking damage to save time and collecting all birds.

=( Then I'll have to redo some levels :( EDIT: I took a look at it. and found that 2 levels will become much longer when redone with picking up missing bird. Also, Striving for fastest *completion* would include taking damage to save time. I won't complain if movie is not accepted because of unfinishedness...

It shows for a second ^^ But it can't be cropped or removed without losing part of gameplay or screen.

It can be shown while there's no action on that part of the screen, it can't be cut without damaging video or losing part of it, it's cute :D It's hard to do on enoder's side ;_; If someone wishes to encode the movie himself... Well, you are free to ask, why is his movie absolutely similar to one on tasvideos :D

The problem is that nothing stops one from cropping places with watermark. Another good solution would be title like on music channels, popping from the bottom in a few seconds semi-transparent thing with text ^^

VBA-rerec allows rewinding for 10 frames (0.2 seconds) saving 256 states. That's pretty close and I always use it while recording gba movies.

That's one of reasons I love VBA-rerecording ^___^ It has auto-hold, and it can be assigned to any key combination (I use buttons for simple, alt+button for autofire, ctrl+button to hold)
