this prank is driving away at least one valuable member of the site.
Not just to say im valuable or anything, but yesterday morning when i saw all the seven reich member reference all around, i decided to not submit my april fool runs until the spam was removed (thanksfully it was removed shortly after)
By itself the prank wasnt so offending, its the heavy spam on forum that was obstructing all the fun (of the april fool day, not the staff prank)
Last year prank was incredibly smarter and more successfull, it feel like anytime nach lack creativity he will just speak of nazi or hittler... barelly a funny subject at all imo
(while i agree with warp overall that its a good parody subject, im not coming to this forum for this basicly, so it was a bit overkill)

I think this is a bad turn for the site. Thus, I henceforth resign as publisher, encoder, etc. I'll delete my YT account and all of my archive.org uploads in the next few days. It's been fun, guys.

Did Dacicus end up deciding to leave? Last I talked to him was two days ago on IRC and he said he was "seriously considering" leaving.
I agree that he's a valuable member. He's always volunteering his time to help the site - publishing, encoding, making runs, and participating in discussions. It would be a shame to see him resign over this controversial issue.

I don't think that losing such important members because of someone's bad humour is permissible at all! We must find out if he was serious and do all we can to prevent his departure, if we was serious!

It is not a mature action leave the site just because we rejected your movie.
And to answer the question: "Speed or Fun? What prioritize first?" Both. That is why we have TASes with speed/entertainment tradeoffs, playarounds. Even the TASes aiming for speed have entertainment on it.

I don't understand what you mean when you say someone stole the idea for your "Perfect Bonus" Sonic 2 TAS. Is someone making a Perfect Bonus run of another Sonic game, and you think they took your idea?
Sorry, I think I exaggerate to say that. But none of that. I can not go more with this, TASvideos, ask for a level I can not reach and I have not motivations to do so. Also in the current movie of Sonic 2 run in Casino Night they use a strategy that I was used, but they said that was my idea, then it would be not "stealing an idea."
