for what its worth, i like the variety. considering some stars are in the same general area, using the same route over and over could be kind of boring. that way was quite surprising.

Perhaps it is a faster method to get to that star that you normally just wall kick or use a cannon to get to (it's forwards from where you did the first seam jumping thing).... hopefully that made sense, it's late.

That's how i did this trick, i was trying to get there, but i can only jump to where the coins are, and i can get the star if i do a backwards longjump and grab it below, but that is all 2 seconds slower than spezzafer's way. This one going to the boss is 3 seconds slower.

Yeah, I don't get that. I thought the internet was supposed to transcend country boundaries and all that stuff. Plus, it's Google, they should know better. If it was some sleazy TV station like showtime it wouldn't bother me very much, but Google? Come on, you have got to be kidding me...

I don't know anything about the situation, but I think it's a reasonable supposition that Google offers different services in various nations because of local laws. (For example, they obey Chinese censorship laws and rebranded Gmail in the UK.)

Even if it is a nefarious plot, it's not just limited to the French... EDIT: in any case, a friend just pointed out to me that you could probably get around these restrictions if you use TOR, and it does indeed work. :)
