Well I guess you're right, but it wasn't only about the admins, as several players themselves was itchy about the "TAS vs. the speedrunners" affair (and apparently, some of them even quit running more or less because of that).

It cracks me up that some people used the excuse that (insert well-known retired speedrunner name here) quit doing console runs once TASing caught on, therefore, what we do is evil. :'(

I do, just by reading the rules, posts, and general attitudes by the admin and mods. If the admin and mods here started acting like the admin and mods there, I'd probably leave this site.
Oh no, that would JXQ us all :(

If you are talking about her, then I do not feel sorry for her a bit. Saying the reason she quit speedrunning because of TAS is so stupid and dumb. There is so much I can write about that discussion but that would be way off-topic.

I wasn't referring to anyone specifically cuz there have been several well known speedrunners who have quit in the emergence of TAS's. I don't have a problem with them quitting; they can do what they want. I more think it's annoying that OTHER people who were fans of those runners get mad at the TAS community because the speedrunner they are a fan of doesn't put out content anymore. But yeah, off-topic. Sorry! Thread hijacking = over. So how about that one-wall climb in Fusion?

Unless it somehow allows you to skip fighting the Security Robot in Sector 3, I don't think it will be useful anywhere.

Right, so the new and improved 0% is underway. I'm currently at the beginning of TRO and so far 513 frames (8.55 seconds) faster than Megafrost's run. WIP: http://dragonfangs.paragonsigma.com/MetroidFusion0p.zip Keep in mind that I'm working slowly, making sure I'm as fast as can be. And I keep finding other stuff to do. So don't expect very rapid updates.

Looks good so far. Just to let everyone know, I'm still planning to do a 100% run of fusion and I'm already working on it.

woah, i'm gasping for air also i'm probably 5 minutes infront of you :p EDIT:After missiles, at the first cumble blocks, wouldn't it be quicker to wall jump, or maybe you were going for luck manupultion or anachnus shouldn't you fire your beam then spam it with missiles, saving 2 frames from cooldown time, i can understand the diaganal missile shots I didn't really like the charge-x battle i noticed you jumped in the save room after arachnus?

I think I tried that and came up with it being slower, though I can't really remember.

Yeah I noticed that later, but by then I was too far ahead to redo everything for 2 frames.

I spin after I start falling, it gives you a really tiny boost in horizontal movement, though I don't think it actually saved time there.

no, if you had kept holding A you would have kept jumping

Then I have no idea how you walljump, I couldn't get it to even be as fast as my way, let alone faster. I however miss the tiny jump that should be done before all ledges, which would've saved about 5 frames there. But luck worked out in my favor with the eye, so those 5 frames probably would've gone to luck manipulation anyway, which is why I didn't bother to fix it.

... apparently I did, O_o. A pretty stupid mistake, but it only slows me down by 1 frame.

Counting from when the first crumble block starts to crumble to when the first block in the second set of crumble clocks starts to crumble, that's 2 frames faster than me, and I already admitted that I could've been 5 frames faster.

A lot of frames you saved there. Was that all because of the double shots or there was something else?

The double shots on the Charge Beam Core-X saved about 300 frames. And I had one more missile to use against Arachnus. But at least 100+ frames were saved through tiny improvements here and there.

Okay, a certain ... thing, was found and I was pretty much forced to restart so I could incorporate it into the run. So I've redone almost everything I had so far and I'm now 200 frames faster than I was in my previous update. WIP: http://dragonfangs.paragonsigma.com/MetroidFusion0p.zip
