This is a bit off-topic, but I gotta question, now. . . Is that two-player bug in Level 11 still there in the MegaDrive/Genesis version of Battletoads? Does anyone know?

Agreed. And then some. All the MegaDrive version's graphics are "enhanced" and shiny. . .except for the Toads themselves, for some reason. Heh. But overall, the graphic styling is far more ugly than the Nintendo version. Which is funny, because the MegaDrive version of Snake, Rattle and Roll is nicer overall than the Nintendo version. The music isn't the same at all, but even the new music seems to fit. But I'm getting way off-topic again. Sorry.

Well, I've never played the Genesis versions but Snake, Rattle & Roll doesn't stretch the NES to the limit the way Battletoads does, so it follows that the Genesis would be able to improve it more. BT uses every gimmick the NES could possibly handle, including fake parallax scrolling, lots of on-the-fly tile swapping, etc. And I agree that some higher-end NES games look better than some Genesis games--BT especially, but also the later MegaMan games and a few others. I haven't watched the latest 15-odd minute submission, but just looking at the time I have to say WOW.

Sorry for the nitpicking, but your avatar is too large. I believe 80 x 80 is the limit.

level 2 looked good :) i chose to not get the beak because its slow to hit stuff (even though it has more range, its better to just kick) i only got it at the last 3 birds, because i could manage to not miss the birds using the beak there. PS.: i'm killing player 2 A LOT. and he still has 5 lives left, i will keep on killing him till the end of the game, doesnt matter if hitting him stops the action for 6 frames, i think it ads much more action to the movie (and more score to both toads)

Are you juggling the birds around as much as possible? I think it would be really fun if you got a 1up on every bird in there (for Rash, granted).

i dont get 1up on every bird. i didnt really try that, and player 2 gets some lives too. i just found that i can kill player 2 on more places than i thought i could. i'm making this really a "battle maniacs" run, since the toads seem to like fighting so much that they cant just sit and do nothing, they fight themselves :) (actually only rash kicking zitz butt. zitz doesnt dare to touch rash). i thought i'd have to post this snapshot, but i think theres no use for that thing that i just made happen lol: i would like to see what happens when i bare webbed feet toad touch a ramp, but the ramp is so far, just in order to walk half screen i have to kick the toad riding the bike, so, they wont have life left to get there...

Nice pic. Btw, it's true that you lost some time when using the beak.

What would be the point in doing that? You'd basically be playing the same levels over again.

He probably means original MArio bros. from Atari. Well, the one that is in SMB3 as bonus game. Julianch: The problem with VS games, Famtasia doesn't handle those games and FCEU, for somewhat reason, can't record coin insertion and DIP switch input even if it is supposed to be supported.

Thinking of that, I think I can beat your time by ~1 minute. I am not joking.

You'll see it when it will be done. Check that LoZ thread. I have estimated I will do 1 minute faster maybe 1:30 and it ended to be 1:26 faster. Same thing happens in some other games. When I see improvement at some places, I know how much time it can save.
