I'm surprised neither of the golden sun titles have gotten any love around here
There were 2 Golden Sun submissions, to my knowledge. One being Golden Sun-JP and the other being of Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Both were rejected due to not being fully optimized. There's still hope though!
The submissions in question: #2861: nfq's GBA Golden Sun: The Lost Age "No retreat glitch" in 6:30:44.40 #4421: kien_'s GBA Golden Sun "No Retreat Glitch" in 3:36:54.17

it needs for the more obvious games to go to its categories and to have a few games like golden sun 1 to be removed from the list cause the game was done already
TAS i'm interested: megaman series: mmbn1 all chips, mmx3 any% psx glitched fighting games with speed goals in general

Yahtzee - max score. The rolls of the dice can't be manipulated mid-game however. It can only manipulated at the Three Pack title screen (alongside The Game of Life and Payday). There's also a GBA homebrew version.

The homebrew version of Yahtzee has a glitch that involves holding previously held dice when you place a score. Helpful in getting a Yahtzee.

Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage aka Crash Bandicoot Fusion would be awesome.

I'd be interesting in seeing or maybe working on a Nicktoons Racing GBA TAS... game has some interesting quirks on some tracks.. would be interesting to see if there could potentially be more depth to the pretty basic driving tech

I have almost given up completely on re-routing Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards for RTA. I can't even begin to think of the limits of how fast the game could go. Both Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction stand out from the rest of the GBA Yu-Gi-Oh! series in that you are able to "stack the deck" against your opponents via overworld movement and deck sorting. I would love to see TASes of both of those games. I would have thrown 7 Trials to Glory into that mix, but that has a credits warp that can be (and has been) done by humans in less than a minute.
I have the tendency to post a few too many Kappas.

Oh yeah, this thread. New on my wish list is: River City Random (EX) The game has a "crazy" difficulty and a "speed" option to turn up a bit. Hidden attacks were added to the normal controls so there should be more variety. Slam dunking construction cones is surprisingly effective. Jumping through the air is faster, there should be more acrobatics. No left+right glitches, apparently, and Moose can't be skipped, but he can be tricked into diving into a pit. Overall, a run of it would be significantly different from the original, more than different enough to warrant being done, and the result would be quite fast-paced.
Do you have any strategies in mind for this game?

Mario Golf: Advance Tour seems like it would benefit a LOT from even just basic trial and error savestate use to pull off impossible shots, it isn't too long (I can beat singles in a few hours unassisted and thats going for everything/talking to everyone and making no effort to be quick). Doubles would be tricker (Neil is terrible at golf unless you are in a sandtrap, then he is a savant)
Actually just posted a thread for this! Started working on it super recently, probably just going to do singles so i dont have to deal w partner ...

Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis has some interesting qualities. First of all the full ending requires a speedrun, though 25 hours is stupidly generous for an actual run. Just from casual experimentation with savestates, it's clear the game has a very abusable clock-tick based RNG. The biggest one however is that ANY non-boss unit aside from a few special classes can be convinced to join the party right from the start of the game. The odds of this working are terrible outside of the most ideal conditions, but as mentioned the RNG is easy to abuse. This should give easy access to high level units in good classes and raises the max level of fresh recruits (if the run can afford the cost of them)

So that there's already an "All DSS Cards" category for Castlevania: Circle of the Moon it wouldn't be so bad to have an "All DSS Cards and Items" category as the roster of drop items are not that ridiculously big compared to other games like Aria of Sorrow.

Fire Emblem on Hector Hard with all units recruited, all gaiden chapters played and 5 stars in all rankings. That should differ enough from standard TAS of the series which is just throne/rout rush.

Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand This game is fully playable on NO$GBA. I hope we implement light sensor capabilities in the next release of VBANext or mGBA or if somebody would work on GBAHawk.

mGBA does support light sensor, I thought natt added bindings for that in BizHawk?

What I'd really like to see in BizHawk is support for mGBA's breakpoints and debugger in Lua scripts. Sometimes there are scenarios that come in TASing that I can't test since I can't reproduce them in normal mGBA because of how specific they are. I can't inspect what's going on because I can't set breakpoints. Either that, or a way to export save states to mGBA would be great!
